It factually did not have a magic series, it had a boost chain, which worked completely differently and locked you into it unless you spent a bar to EX cancel out of it. Also, the launcher was not jump cancelable and did not lead to aerial raves, it was a launcher in the same way that Balrog's headbutt in SF4 is a launcher in that it pops up and given certain resources you can juggle off of it.

Based on what we've seen in the game so far, none of the mechanics work anything like SFxT in any capacity where as the returning mechanics from TvC appear to be completely intact.

Any slow, extended assist will technically work - Sentinel's alpha assist, Ammy's beads, etc. The reason people stuck with Skrull for the setup was so they could get the setup going on snapback, which is the easiest way to do it. Using other assists makes it harder, but it can be done.

Akuma has two different EX air fireballs, one when he's regular and another one when he's in V-Trigger mode.

The regular mode is a single multi-hitting fast air fireball.

The V-Trigger Ex air fireball is the one you can see in the trailer. The second hit can be delayed a bit in order to make it trickier or for specific juggle situations.
