In the last two nights alone I spent four hours straight last night and another four straight hours tonight and finally beat it. Tonight, not once did I die before 5 am. Not once. I cannot stress enough that every. Single. Attempt. Was milliseconds from victory. Purely dependent on whether or not Ennard decided not to camp for that ONE millisecond I had no control over.

To put it into perspective, I've beaten DMC3 with straight S rankings, Got every achievement in Freedom Planet and speedrun it competitively. I've had urethral surgery and have a bladder disease most commonly described as 'crippling' put lightly, and I'm explaining this for one key reason:

We don't actually know. On one hand, Scott explicitly stated that Custom Night wouldn't be canon, as "it would completely ruin the plot if it was!" or something like that.

On the other hand, this seems like sort of a weird thing to include for non-canon purposes. I could pass it off as a joke cutscene (it IS pretty funny) if it weren't for the eerie "You won't die. You won't die. You won't die. You won't die." repeated echoes from Baby/Ennard. Plus Scott also said the final cutscene he's making for Golden Freddy mode would "reveal what happens to Eggs Benedict" or whatever. That sounds like canon talk.

I'm pretty sure Springtrap was originally supposed to be Mike in the second game, then got moved to FNAF 3. "mike" was in the enemy folder with a skull icon on it. I think Scott decided against it ultimately, though. I feel like the usage of "Michael" as opposed to "Mike" is a distinguishing mark.

Have we considered if Michael was actually the Purple we see vomiting up Ennard? It could explain the name of "Sister Location". It's not about an actual sister location to Freddy's as much as it's an offshoot experiment.

That leaves the "living in shadows" thing, but it could be that Mike became part of Ennard when it left his body, which is why his voice distorts; or he's become reclusive because of his appearance and only resurfaced because of Fazbear's Fright. Maybe he committed arson to get Springtrap out of there.

This story's even more of a fucking mess, though at least we might get Funtime Springtrap in the next game. I'd love to see people draw that up.

Michael is the remaining son of Purple, trying to tie up loose ends. He's extremely similar to William Afton, going off of the minigames where he gets confused by the robots. Here's where this gets crazy.

When Michael/William vomits Ennard and they fall onto the ground as a piece of skin before getting up, there's no blood. He's a piece of skin and not much else. I think what Scott is doing is retroactively altering events to make a new story that fits his timeline but clearly wasn't his initial intent. I loathe to say it, like cut my tongue out and castrate me I loathe to say it, but the dream theory was most likely correct and was reinforced by Scott's hints.

Then he realized "Oh that's fucking stupid and everyone hates it." So he's finding these drastic workarounds to have the story for all five games make sense on paper. And they do, and even old ambiguous shit from old games can be tied to them, narrowly. But it's still blatantly clear this is being created as it goes. The entire reason FNAF's story was so enthralling in the first place was because you could interpret things the way you wanted and tell the same story in different ways. Giving the murderer a concrete identity in the actual games goes against all of that.
