Just beat Alduin vanilla, I'm thinking a few new characters for a modded playthrough that uses both magic and weapons.

The ideas are:

>Breton Crusader (One Handed, Heavy Armour, Destruction)
Heavy armour, one hand with a sword and the other with a destruction spell.
>Orc Battlemage (One Handed, Conjuration, Alteration)
Flesh spells, Bound Swords in each hand as the main method of attack.
>Argonian Nightblade (One Handed, Sneak, Destruction)
Sneak around, initiate with a sneak spell

Are there any good mods that would benefit these different playstyles? Looking for something that boosts magicka regen while wearing armour so I don't have to grind enchanting, something that gives sneak attacks for spells, and something which makes it so I don't have to recast flesh or bound weapon spells so damn much.

Ordinator is good. I haven't played using Perkus Maximus but I've heard good things. If you like that sort of thing a loot deleveler like Morrowloot Ultimate is nice. Disparity is pretty nice.

Does Ordinator make it so I don't have to recast Flesh/Bound Weapons as often? That was the one thing I hated about my mage character, that I had to recast everything.

Also any good racial mods for the SE? I know Imperious is a really good one people recommended, but I also liked the Epic Races of Skyrim mod for Vanilla, is there anything like that for SE? Or something that has birthsigns like the Atronach one where you don't regenerate magicka? I was also hoping for that one too, because magic resist is so hard to find in vanilla Skyrim unless you're a Breton.

Yes, the base perks for Conjuration and Alteration in Ordinator both increase the duration of their respective spells.

No sign of Epic Races yet, but Imperious is up for SE. There's also Aurora for the standing stones, although the new abilities from that can be a bit fiddly.

If you're a first timer looking to play it vanilla/light modding then Special Edition, it flat out looks better and runs better than the Classic version. Plus it's actually stable, never had a CTD yet.

If you want to mod it heavily then Classic, but I can't imagine it being too long before the SE gets all the original mods back (ie SKSE).

I suppose you could take the explosive bolt enchantment from Dawnguard and make your own pack of spears in CK.
The problem being that the only explosive enchantment that I know of belongs to crossbow bolts- which mods don't cover for disenchanting.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person that likes one-handed axes in conjunction with two-handed swords instead of the other way around.

Something about using an axe in conjunction with a shield just feels right to me (especially since they are arguably not the best took for defense without), but for some reason I have a hard time taking a sword seriously unless it's at least up to the wielder's shoulder in terms of length.

Does anyone else here think the same way?

So I just got down from High Hrothgar attacked by Dragon Cultists for the first time. But something weird happened.

I was stuck in conversation mode - even while the battle was actually starting, they and Lydia were drawing their magic/weapons, etc. - and had to press tab to manually close the conversation window. Then, I reverted back to walking (I had auto-run on) and I couldn't turn auto-run back on until one of them was dead - the caps lock key just didn't do anything. And I also couldn't attack -- the LMB didn't do anything either until Lydia and the guards killed one.

Is that normal?

You know, I bust my ass making skyrim mods. I'll be damned if somebody calls me a fuckhead knowing full well I can't say anything back and still gets to use my work without consequence, because if I get banned, I can't upload files anymore, and any record of the success of the work(which is a nice little trophy for my wall) gets erased. If he gets banned, he essentially just loses the right to comment on files.

You're not a mod author. Your opinion of how things affect us is completely uninformed.

What is clear from our end is that the community is becoming increasingly toxic toward creators and the Nexus mods are doing their best to find a good compromise to keep us happy. Because every one of your favorite authors has gotten that one comment that makes them just seethe and has considered deleting everything and just using other people's work instead of making their own. We've all thought about it, and we talk about it on a regular basis.

If you want your "free speech" back(I look at it more as the ability to talk to the author directly, you DO have other places where you can review stuff where nobody can stop you), you need to convince the community to start being more respectful in general to mod authors. Because we can just stop modding. Lord knows my general temperament would be better if I didn't get called a dick 5 times every day by some random troll 2000 miles away, and if I quit then I wouldn't have to deal with that anymore. Then nobody wins.

You talk about the community needing to be able to trust the authors, but what you forget is that the community has long ago lost OUR trust. That's why the system was put in place. So we could honestly give a fuck about you trusting us.

Ordinator or SPERG, tesg?

Both of them are good and bad which is making my choice hard.

Ordinator is overall a lot more deep and makes a specific character a lot easier, however its ability to make your character stronger past 100 skill kinda sucks in comparison to SPERG. On the flipside, SPERG makes your character very strong but lacks a lot of depth that Ordinator has.

My biggest problem with Ordinator, however, IS the depth. The creator, in my opinion, went into some absolutely retarded meme shit for some of his stuff.

Like, dwarven autocannons for smithing and explosive barrels in stealth for sneak. Some of it is just absolutely retarded and has no better alternative.

Which do you prefer?
