Leveling my first character - a Dragonknight and I'm having a blast in DC zones. Currently lvl 10.

Im starting to have some problems though. With bosses mainly. Either my survival or dps is not enough.

I'm using a 2h currently. Should I switch to SnB or Dual Wield?

Also should I morph my buff skill to have 40% more damage on heavy attack or 20% weapon damage? I assume the latter would work better for dual wield.

Any tips for leveling a stamina Dragonknight?

Time for another character. I want to make a beefy shocktrooper that just wades in and fucks shit up. Heavy armor, big weapons. Definitely 2H for one of my weapon bars, probably SnB for the other. I'm thinking this is obviously screaming DK but would Templar fit better (spears are neat)? I've never played either class. Would stamina or magicka fit better? I'm a fucking noob and my only 50 is a stamblade so I don't really know if mag builds play well for melee range. I don't mind if I have to tank in groups.

MagPlar is very boring to level. DK works as both Stam and Mag but Stam is better.
Mag is really only spells. DK have some close combat spells though.

DESU both classes will work for what you want but DK's are better tanks for the immortal juggernaut thing.

That spear on the Templar is all you'll use to lvl 50. It can be really boring.

Use dual wield and bow for lvling (you unlock your 2nd weapon slot at lvl 15). 2 handers are great for pvp and even have a place in solo lvling since rally has nice self healing, but I'd go dual wield for sure if you want to lvl faster and pull your weight in dungeons.

I'd get molten armaments for the 40%boost to heavy attacks and make sure you unlock green dragon blood asap for that slight heal and stam regen.

I'd lvl as a stam dk with dual wield and bow. Its much easier to lvl as stam imo. Dunmer make the best magic dks(aren't too shabby for stam either but there are definitely better options) so you'll be ready for it when they inevitably stop being ass.

I only did the starter island that were Khajiit quests, on Auridon for now all I get are Altmer quests and they are very shitty.

Aldmeri Dominion is ALL about propoganda. That's one of their main weapons as a faction. So why are you surprised that their story is filled with it? If you don't take everything that's said in game at face value, as you shouldn't do with a TES game, then the game itself makes it pretty apparent how Ayrenn's words aren't exactly aligning with her actions. It isn't a conflict of ideologies between respectable people, it's the good guys versus EVIL RACISTS, like they need to tell the player just how bad it is to be AN EVIL RACIST, rather than just write a good narrative.

a common endgame strategy for pledge runs is to simply stack together, running from one end of the room to the other when the AoEs start dropping and NOT to run into the bubble. so that's what a lot of people are used to doing.

Also, in Fungal Grotto II when outside of bubble, damage is pretty high so I often run out of magica while trying to heal everyone with instant healing spell. magicka is always better for most PvE content due to their much higher survivability. stamina may potentially do more raw damage, but they are also more likely to die and do no damage at all. the serious guilds who run the hardest content in the game nearly all play magicka, and it's for this reason.

The tenure in my current MMO is coming to an end I think and I'm looking for a new distraction from the well of bottomless sadness that is my life. There's a couple of questions I got about ESO, mostly little things that really rev my engine when I comes to MMOs.

How easy is it to join up with friends and adventure, and how much opportunity is there for spontaneous grouping?

Can you transmog armor and/or weapon pieces with dye shit to make neat little outfits for yourself? Got any good examples if so?

Are there a painful amount of scrubs around? How bad are pugs?

What's the endgame look like and how easy is it to hook up with other adventures to get together and wreck endgame shit? Likewise how are dailies if there are any?

Crown Store maybe. The cosmetic bundle you can get lets you utilize adornments differently (sometimes) than in chargen.

It's pretty much like any other modern MMO, a singleplayer game with other people in your world. Not going to have a ton of luck there. But as far as spontaneous grouping is concerned, there are delves which you may like.

Good lord, yes. Doesn't help that people queue off role half of the time and ruin groups.

Meh. If you don't like PvP you'll be sorely disappointed. Your average PuG can't do much with endgame PvE.

Easy as pie, literally from level 1 (well, 2 technically but w/e).

Depends if you find people that wanna do it. Most people prefer to do quests alone and only group for world bosses or the like.

Sadly no. You can dye your armor and shield though. Weapons can't be dyed and it's tupid. What you can do is choose the style of gear you craft, and there's a pretty steady market for the fancier styles, whether selling books that enable a crafter to use the style or being a crafter who can make armor that is both good and looks good.

>scrubs
Plenty. Some things in the game aren't tutorialized very well, like how your resource pool contributes to your DPS so you'll see people trying to do a traditional TES style sword-and-sorcery build with 2H weapons and staves or something like that and being good at neither.

>endgame
PvP, Trials (Raids), Veteran Dungeons (often with a "Pledge" you take to do something challenging during the run, like not using a mechanic in a fight), eRP. Much your standard MMO "endgame."

>dailies
There's quests you can repeat daily, they're mostly tied to guilds and are there to help increase the speed of your rank progression in a guild, as well as a few daily quests in DLC zones. They're mostly alright.

Riften, apparently. I've noticed crowds of RPers there before, and others have said that's where the erp goes down.

Though honestly I bet you could find it at any tavern if you try hard enough or play a female character that isn't fugly. Across MMOs a constant of RP in taverns always seems to be that most people are cruising for a textfuck.

Okay, fuck am I doing wrong, exactly?

I die too quickly. I put more points and heavy armor into health.

Then my stamina runs out too quickly. Constantly "TAK TAK TAK TAK" (so much that at some point the game glitched producing a continuous sound of "TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" until I quit). But if I put points and armor into stamina, I'm back to problem 1 where I die.

I'm a khajiit stam nb using bow and 2h because 2h does a shitload more damage. Before with dual wield I couldn't even take three enemies on without dying, now with 2h I took down 3 groups of 5 enemies each on my own.

Bow because... Bow. Mostly use it at distances before the enemy makes its way to me.

Should I just follow a build?

I just bought ESO and am applying a huge 32GB patch. In the single player games I'd like to use heavy armor and enchanted two handed weaponry, with destruction magic as backup. How viable is this in ESO?

Siege keeps with your alliance and repair walls after battles, you don't have to kill anyone to get points.

You could always stealth arch from keep walls and use agony and stuff to support

Vigor is very necessary

Harder than cells 1 for sure. Doable with good dps at any level though, there's just one boss that needs good AoE dps, the others can be taken slow

You still can, it's just that dual wield is far better for AoE because of one arguably broken skill

I run DW+2H on my stamDK and it's fine. Just make sure you have some ranged like hidden blade/crossbow/class skill because you can't melee 100% of the time

Work up to siphoning strikes
Morph the first 2hander skill for the shield
Get the passive in shadow for Major Prot/Ward when you use a shadow skill, and remember to use a shadow skill.
And most importantly, keep trying things out. Getting spoonfed by a build isn't rewarding at all

I suppose you're right. I'm kinf of talking out of my ass, because I actually don't know anything about PvP here. I have a huge aversion of PvP in games because there's real live people on the other side and that scares me and in the past games I've tried pvp it was always a matter of who was the most p2w, followed by a shitload of spam messages of "lol u suk".

Yup, my first. Just can't let this fella go. I tried so hard to make other characters, try other classes, but for some reason I just can't let my kitty go. And I do understand it's extremely hard especially for me because I'm usually not looking at health bars or anything and when I'm running out of things, rather than managing them, I panic and go blind.

Slot veiled strike, it can be morphed into a stamina version

sorcerer or dragonknight would be your best bet IMO. Sorcerers get lightning imbued melee weapons and pet/lightning spells/dark magic, while DKs get flame imbued weapons, fire/poison offensive spells and earth-style support spells. Templars are more resto based and NBs are more illusion & mysticism

People will tell you to spec into either stamina/magicka early but it doesn't matter; early levels aren't affected by stats nearly as much as endgame levels, so I say do what you want, just pick a class based on the flavor
