I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed coming back to this game and remembering how little information used to be readily available about it.
Have there been any major changes to lifeskills? I remember them making fishing hotspots move instead of being static, but I'm not sure of what else has happened

I noticed they made all the "hidden" nodes...not hidden anymore. Are there any really good ones i should look at investing into? I have a lot of Contribution so that shouldn't be a problem. I have a route connected from Trent to Valencia already from when I played before.

Are Calpheon Timber crates still a decent source of passive income?

Now that all servers have merged, is pvp still on 100% of the time after you hit L45?

The extra mana it uses is beyond negligible. It literally does not make any sort of difference and you won't even really notice or care. Anyone who says it does matter is just making shit up. Just use skills on your hotbar for convenience or preference.

First time back since launch week, and I decided to make a new Musa to relearn the game as well as try a relatively new class.

I know it just so happens to be a +50% exp event, but I gotta ask... was the game changed this much in several months? I've managed to get to 30 so quickly, and I already have a +10 Bares blade. This feels like cheating.

Can someone tell me how good guilds are compared to other mmos? I played last summer and joined a guild. But as always it felt like such an empty experience. There's no housing and I was never able to meet guild members even once. When I played ff 14 there was housing so at the very least we could hang out there and it was heavily focused on dungeons so we could do a lot together. Revelation Online's gild system is looking good so I'm debating on either going there or sticking to Black Desert once I get a PC.

Oh ff 14 is one of the best mmos I've played. The sense of community is the best I've seen, the maps look good and the gameplay is solid. The reasons I quit is because the raid community is toxic as fuck. You really have to make sure to find people that won't scream at you or anyone else because you died once. And second because the gameplay is solid but I like action focused gameplay. In ff14 you have to work together on everything. Make one mistake in raids and you screw everyone up, for example. Common mmos things I guess. But while exciting, I want badass fast paced action.

Depends on your activity level in a guild i believe, they can raise it pretty high but most I've ever seen is ~200,000 or so. If you join a siege guild that owns a territory though they can pay out 10m+ in guild pay, separate from the daily pay, depending on how much silver the territory puts out it may be a bit less or more.

Highest i've heard of for daily pay is 5mil but that's usually officers who set themselves at that pay grade or guild leaders.

With the recent changes to siege money though shit's gonna be weird in siege guild politics for awhile.

Musa/Maehwa are speed demons. Sorcs are great in 1v1 engagements, dont know anything about ninja/kunoichi sorry, dont see that many tamers about but they have good dmg and their pet runs defense if they get cc'd and they have decent mobility from what I've seen.

The current way the game is played is to stack AP, the offensive stat, accessories so most people end up getting one combo'd at the really high gear fights. DP, the defensive stat, doesn't scale as well as AP though which may be getting looked at in the future, unknown.

From what I've seen I'd say Musa/Maehwa, and then Tamer or Sorc would fit what you're looking for, but If you're just starting I'd try them all out, you'll get a bunch of xp on the weekends too due to events.

You can have a worker make crates from a wood workbench, which can be sold as trade items. Doing so in Trent and sending them as far as possible (Valencia) can be done by transporting to Epheria and then ship them wherever your further port is.
