/owg/, this is why I main Widow:

When I pick her, my team complains, doesn't matter if it's on defense, attack, KotH, or whatever.

When we are winning, they stop complaining.

When we lose, they blame me 100% for the loss. THIS IS OKAY. I accept this fact.

Why? Because as a Widow main, my job is to carry the entire team to victory on my own without their help. When I lose, it is entirely my fault because I didn't play good enough to carry everyone and win the match. When I win, it was because I stayed on top of my game at 100% the ENTIRE match, and covered everyone else's weaknesses, which is why they don't say shit when we are winning.

Every other hero can suck and still contribute to their team. But no one else contributes more to their team while also having to play at their best their entire time throughout the match.

Everyone expects you to carry them to victory without their help, that's why they can blame you for losing the match. This is why your team gives up the moment you pick Widow, because they expect you to do all the work. They are correct. You will be doing all the work yourself without their help as they complain and/or AFK, or just goof off instead of trying to win. That's why Widow gets so much pressure.

Embrace that pressure, Widow Mains. That is what makes you feel more alive.

I am a widow main and I practiced at least 30 mins-1h a day tracking bots and farming headshot-only Ana bots during my first hours with Widow so that i get a hang of the movement in the game and adjust my DPI. If you try that for a month and you are still inaccurate, then you just do not have the "talent" for it and should stick to characters that don;t require aim.

I like how forgiving the aim is for her actually. I'm a support main not dps or widow. I admittedly don't have the best aim. I need the help. It's not like she gets a lot of kills the aim only helps with healing. At least you kind of need to aim with get unlike healing with lucio, mercy, or Zenyatta where 1 is aoe heal and the other 2 lock onto your target no matter where you aim.

I had a friend who calibrated into gold last season that told me that. Now there's nothing wrong with being placed in gold, but he fell all the way down to silver and had to climb back up. He blamed it on his teammates and the fact that he didn't always have a six man stack to play with.

He finally made it to plat a few days before season end and told me that he'll never play without a six man again because randoms hinder him. He says he's at least high plat/diamond because he queued up with a few of them and was able to do well in their games.

This all used to make me angry at how stupid it sounded.
