I have a Pyro C2, Linker C1/Thauma C1 Alchemist build.

It's terrible. Absolutely terrible. No one will want you to link anything. You will have to get a Dendel gem to even be viable. It's a great spec to farm Uosis with, provided no one else is camping the map but outside that place it's bad.

Go Wiz 3 > Linker 2. It's more futureproof and you can even solo maps no problem.

The interaction with magic missle and linking mobs is by far better than Lvl10 fireballs, pillar and ground. Like I said, I have a Pyro C2. The spells deal next to no damage and you won't be playing an alchemist for damage anyway.

Spawn rates seem higher and getting exp in general seems easier than the first time round thanks to better exp tomes, instance clear vouchers and just more quests. No point in using every exp card you get just because you have them though.
I know you basically don't need to stop and grind now until Alemeth. Just use cards to keep in level range until then.

Cannonade is alright, not like Cannoneer has any other good skills.
Bazooka is horrible
There is attributes to Siege Burst to remove magic circles/field spells, kinda like Counter Spell, but way weaker.

It's a weak class overall in pve, but I like it. Has some 1 shotting potential on pvp with cannon blast 10, but I don't really play that.

Can someone help? I have no fucking clue. Every other skill just hits like a wet noddle compared to Deth. I just don't fucking know anymore.

So spr doesn't seem to affect skeletons at all, while int affects them a lot. Int and spr seem to give the shoggoth like 1.5 times int/spr as atk/def with that becoming 3x with a 10*. The description says .8 but it might actually be 1.6 and the stars give it 90% more.

Putting full in spr made my shoggoth able to tank the dames in inner wall 8 and take 1s from non specials and only hundreds at best from special attacks. It has like 2299 def. It still has a huge natural attack too, so being full spr might actually be viable if I hide away and let the shoggoth tank. It's definitely worth finding a way to get spr while having int though, since the skeletons do less than shit with no int. Flesh cannon and weapons have such a high attack combined that int doesn't really matter and pole doesn't really matter with anything, though shards go with your magic attack.

I wish there was a way to "transpose" int to spr before casting shoggoths.

Cannon2 is pretty shit. Cannon blast is dethrone lite, doing half the damage with a much longer cooldown and no overheat.

Cannonade is quite shit too but at least it's better than cannon shot.

Bazooka is fucking terrible, it needs to do at least 5x more damage to make it worth while and even then its situational.

Gas grenade is alright, good if it works. Problem is is that it doesn't work on bosses or flying things and can also be resisted. It does act as a silence if it works though which is nice.

On the whole, cannon2 is weak in R8. It's really not great for much, can't even say that it's good aoe burst now because of inflated mob hp pools, long CD's and weak damage. Nice with a linker though but everything is nice with a linker.

I'd really recommend staying away from cannon unless you really want to bank on cannon3 being fuck you tier. As of now it's probably one of the weakest "DPS" R8's in the game.

Letting all Swordsman classes wear pistols....I am not sure what to think of this. They removed the looting from Corsair but gave it back to them as an attribute, which I suppose is fair, but now you have even less reasons to go Corsair3 since we can all wear Pistols. That Tornado attribute better be fucking godly to make Corsair worth it.
