Your maximum health will gradually decrease over time in TFC if you don't eat, but you'll never die from it. You're also hit with a couple of negative potion effects once your hunger reaches a certain amount. I'd like to hire someone to make a mod which kills players once their max health reaches a low enough value, which should be configurable in a text file.

I'm willing to pay extra if the mod lets server owners adjust the speed at which hunger and max health decrease, lets server owners adjust when negative potion effects kick in and which potion effects are applied, adds a configurable true/false value in a config file which gives server owners the option to stop decreasing a player's hunger and thirst when they're in creative mode, and if the mod adds a button beside the "Heal the player" button in the creative menu which restores all hunger and thirst instead of health. I'd prefer to pay using amazon gift cards, steam games/items, or any other method which doesn't give out all of our personal information.

Well with forge mods the client (player) and the server's configuration file for the mod usually have to match or else they can't even log onto the server, the server checks for that Even then the server is handling all of the interactions, code and events, so even if the player did have different settings it wouldn't apply anyways, all that the player's side does is receives what the server tells them and then updates their gui and visual elements accordingly.

So, the advanced redstone interface to the right of me has a button on it, and pressing the button activates 4 phantom placers beneath the end portal to place end crystals and trigger the dragon spawn.

After it spawns, a DE advanced entity detector is configured to pulse every 0.5 seconds that an ender dragon is in range of it, which is connected by some wireless redstone to a dispenser full of TNT, which bombards the dragon until it dies. The drops are then collected by a Random Things advanced item collector on an ender chest just below the dragon, and the egg eventually falls into a hopper feeding another ender chest.

The button can then be pressed to spawn another dragon, or I suppose hooked up to a clock on a long timer, and repeated as long as TNT and end crystals are supplied.

There's frames in something that's referred to as MCFrames, no idea what those are or how they work. Projectred has "Frame Motor" and "Frame Linear Actuator" that both seem like shittier pistons (can't push several blocks at once) based on descriptions I found online.

The best way to describe frames are like the slime block piston mechanics in vanilla. They stick together, and can move entire walls up and down. Less restricted than slimeblocks as well, since they're not limited to 15 but I believe upwards of 200.

Also, Frames can move Tile Entities.

Awesome! It was literally the last area to be made almost as well. There's always been plans for an ancient Egypt style build but after an experience on drugs and watching a series called Magical Egypt I felt compelled to create the Bruxor Temple.

Does anyone know of a file host that shortens the name of a file while allowing direct downloads to it without giving false positive virus reports about it? You have permission to use that wand which is exactly the reason why those messages show up. How long were you even on the server for? Did you even bother to talk to someone or staff?

The tools kit is there to give a quick boost that would otherwise take you 10 minutes of playtime to get. And if you really, really insisted on using that wood axe, then you could've just run a command to disable it.

The ranks don't strip anything of the gameplay from people, except for RF Tools and Mystcraft worldgen because that'll just ruin the serb real quick if everyone can gen worlds. You spend a few days on the serb and you get it, it's that simple. Completely automatic. The ranks add quality-of-life adjustments like teleporting, warps, and flying. Again, all of which you could've learned about if you spoke to players or read a thing or two on the site.

It's a server, not single player. There are plugins and restrictions to keep the serb stable and have it remain up for awhile. And if you can't handle simple commands or changes from SP, then why even bother play MP?

So, when the TFC server's rail system was made about a year ago, a ~500 block long portion of it failed to be saved for some reason. That problem is now fixed. Also, before the night's over with, I'll get started on replacing all of the high speed rails with slower ones that allow you to jump out and run into missing track segments without dying. This will likely be finished by tomorrow

After about 10 hours when you've already killed 100 of each mob, they just become an annoyance. You can't explore the nether without flying exploding skulls ramming themselves up your ass when you're not looking. A lot of mobs will poison/wither you so there's that to look forward to.

They did re-make all the textures, in the process removing lots of the good textures (for instance, all the nice glowstone variants), and a lot of the blocks (concrete, for instance, and leaves.) This really, really sucks. (The factory blocks are all still in, though.)

However, I think the reason for that was partially because most of the good textures were stolen directly from Painterly and a few other texture packs, and if I vaguely recall correctly they needed/wanted to switch over to textures they'd actually made. Possibly copyright issues? I don't know the actual reason, but I genuinely don't think it's because they thought cutting texture variety would be somehow better.

Also, the 1.10 versions are still in alpha (switching really did a number on their CTM / randomized-textures system) so I can forgive some stuff being missing. Plus, the new textures do have some merits - they're a bit closer to their original materials, so it's easier to aesthetically mix Chisel variants with Vanilla blocks. Previously, if you used Chisel somewhere, you kind of had to commit to ONLY using Chisel, since it was totally unlike its vanilla variant; Painterly textures only really worked with other Painterly textures. Wasn't a huge problem, especially because of the huge variety of Chisel blocks, but it was an issue.

The new system Chisels' using is supposed to be really easy to work with, though, so when it's released you should be able to just add in all the old textures yourself easily as a resource pack. For the stuff that didn't have complicated CTMs, you could probably just do that right now.

Also, the whole thing's GPL and up on Github, so if it continues sucking we can always fix it ourselves or write an add-on to do so.

Lycanite's can be alright if you need to spice up the danger. Fir instance, there's monsters that can pop out of any ore when mined, phantoms that go through walls, lobbers and afrits will literally spawn on any lava block they possibly could (including right under your tc crucible and get stuck there), cinders will quickly overrun any burning place etc. Compared to how absolutely 100% safe vanilla mining is where you have no chance of running into anything at all unless you open up a huge cave system, it may or may not be fun for you

Multiple people did. AUTOMATIC_MAIDEN left and Chisel was forked by three people. Technic fixed a few bugs for their packs, delta534 added FMP support and Auto Chisels but his fork was very buggy, whereas asie did bugfixes and a 1.7.2 port. asie's fork was taken up by Pokefenn and maintained for a while until, later, he gave the mod to Cricket. For the record, I've tried Lycanite's and I actually really liked some of the mobs and how they fit into the world, but the models were just so big and janky and every time I saw one it was like seeing Master Chief in Skyrim.

Mobs to watch out for:
- Rock goblin thing that hides in iron and gold ores, attacks you whenever you try to mine them
- Dryad that lives in trees, shoots lasers (?!) at you when you cut down random trees
- Giant water spiders that pick you up and bite your head off if you get too close
- Dinosaurs. Just straight up dinosaurs.

I first started working on it around December of 2015. I opened it to the public around January/February of this year, but due to days/weeks at a time passing without anyone logging in, or only logging in for less than 5 minutes before logging out and never returning, I stopped paying for the server and let it die. Another thing that killed my motivation was learning that TFC removed the ability to starve to death around 2014. It's meant to be a mod that makes everything more realistic and challenging, yet the devs decided to allow players to go without food and water for all eternity without dying from it. I recently hired someone to make a mod which fixes that, the mod works like a charm, and several players join the server every day (albeit usually only for a few minutes, but that's still a hell of a lot better than it used to be), so both of those major problems are more or less fixed. I've also got a fresh start on this, so I don't feel worn out from doing 1-2 months of work on the server with nothing to show for it like I did before. As of now, the server's been up since November 26th

Depends on the overall style I'm going for. If I'm gonna have lowtech buildings made of stone, clay etc, lanterns and candles are good. If you want a little more fantasy, you can also use magical looking things like glowstone, nitor, or even fire.

For realistic factories, cage lamps and fuorescent lights are good. If you wanna go higher tech though, those solid neon-looking lamps are the best.

Also, carpenter's slopes are fine as long as you don't make a whole pyramid of them. Just keep them to details like that.

The main feature of the mod is a matter replication system, which is pretty much Equivalent Exchange with a tech theme, but a bit more involved.
Then there are a few utility machines like teleporters and reactors that generate power from black holes found in the world.
Other than that, you can become an android and give yourself special abilities, require no food, have to be powered to live etc.
There are also a few neat customizable weapons/tools, as well as rogue npc androids who are trying to kill you using said weapons/tools.

You are also supposed to be able to go to space, or at least send ships, but that's incomplete in 1.7, so I don't know how exactly it was going to be.

It's Advent of Ascension now, doesn't really offers anything. Everything it does is very unpolished, unsightly and just plain bad and lackluster, and all the dimensions are just recolors of each other where you search the surface for 2-3 buildings\dungeons and maybe grind some loot. It's probably the biggest mod i've ever downloaded and it turned it's all just random fluff covering absolute lack of actual content. Oh and prepare to be literally SPAMMED with 10 types of trading NPCs spawning in every fucking safe spot in groups of 2-3 and just standing there looking like retarded shit, and those unkillable wisps that will rape your ears inside out with their sounds and can only be removed by torture of clicking them with some magical bowl for half an hour, until the next bunch spawns to keep you suffering.
I think the only worse dimensions mod i've seen is Deep Dark and Abyssalcraft

I like that spooky shit that makes you go blind near it and those scary ass nether lions that teleport you to themselves when you look at them, but ultimately it really offers nothing. It's nice and it adds a lot. I really haven't played Minecraft in years and only popped in here to ask, but if I got a headset I'd for sure play again. My one buddy doesn't like the game much but when he tried it he build a 1 block wide tower as high as he could so he could check if he would get vertigo from jumping off. He did, he visibly tensed up in the seat when he jumped.

I'm just hoping some of the limitations of the current options mean there will be a lot of cheaper used ones out soon. I also don't know if Vive and Occulus are interchangeable as far as game choices.

We're nearing our 7th birthday, actually. But the serb went down for a few months back when I was genuinely too busy to handle things anymore and neglected the serb for a few months. But we rebooted over the summer and now I co-own the serb with a friend of mine so the situation that caused the serb to go down for 5 months or so won't happen again. Plus, rebooting allowed us to rebuild the underlying serb software from scratch. Running a serb for 5 years straight collects a lot of trash that just needed to be flushed out.

We own our server hardware and it's all self-hosted, so the only monthly bills are power & internet, which are a pittance compared to the amount of money necessary for a VPS as powerful as the serb we built. We're in this for the long-run.

Ideally they would change the client stuff up a bit so you can view your sever listings before you have to load up and commit to a modpack.

So instead of having dozens of modpacks with thousands of duplicate jars and configs you'd only have one copy of them, but they'd all be in one folder.

Meddle was created because FyberOptic wanted to learn, not because he wanted to destroy Forge.

Was brought on to help them create their launcher, and I think not much else. I don't think he's a Curse employee in the strictest sense - he runs his own company, Forge Development LLC.

Actually, I don't think Searge is even involved anymore. The last few MCP updates have been done by LexManos himself.

Anyhow, FyberOptic responded by making a mod which takes over Forge very early in the boot process, removes it and replaces it with Meddle. Voila, Meddle modpacks on CurseForge.

Logistics Pipes is never OP. It's the most fair and balanced mass storage and autocrafting system in the modern era.

Using LP with an autism wall is fun if you lock the entire wall by whacking the controller with a Drawer Key, and then manually allocate items into each drawer. This way you will keep things organized and looking slick instead of just letting LP throw them into whatever drawer slot it wants. Be sure to use a Polymorphic Itemsink module on the drawer controller, since it has a higher routing priority than default routes (and also allows the QuickSort module to send stuff there).

If you want to be OP about it, use GregTech Super Buffers instead of chests - they can store 256 stacks, but you can't normally see what's inside them. LP lets you do that.

I'm sort of new to minecraft and what to create a more rpg experience with tons of monsters, mobs, bosses, and even player classes. What mod or modpack can achieve this?

Does anyone have experience with Recurrent Complex's maze structures? I can make the individual rooms spawn using /#gen, and the same goes for maze structures that I've painstakingly spent hours on, but the maze structures spawn as empty shells with no rooms inside of them no matter what I do. Disabling cyclic's ore-spawns is one of the first things you need to do. the mod has nice stuff, but it NEEDS configuration before serious use.
