How the fuck do I choose a race in this game
Everytime I run into a race in the game, especially a group of a specific race, I want to play as that race instead.

I just have trouble getting into a race if I'm not intimately familiar with its backstory. That's why e.g. I can play a Nord, or an Imperial, or a Dunmer just fine, having seen their home provinces in each of the last three TES games. I don't feel like I could do justice to the RP for e.g. Orcs or Bretons, though, because I've never actually played their provinces. Hadvar could be all:

The effect of a envmap (or cubemap) on a mesh is entirely judged by the metal (I guess that's what you'd call it, the one that ends in _m.dds) map you make for it. Like a specular, it's a grayscale map of the diffuse where white=shiny, black=matte.

That's a different scenario entirely. A body, and any body part that uses skin (be it a tail, dick, etc,) uses the Skin Tint shader type so the game knows to apply facegentexture color to it.

Doing so prevents you from adding a cubemap, as you would have to change the shader type to Environment Map. Same goes with a Glow Map, can't have a Glow and Env unless they were separate NiTriShapes with thier own shader types.

That being said, you can always edit the specular map to be brighter in those areas. It's not as varied as actual envmaps but it gets the job done. That's how Suu's staples work, for example.

They were extremely difficult to kill. I had to do some serious cheesing using Alteration spells that temporarily paralyzed them and lots of damage buffs. The melee guy kill moved me every time at full health, the archer would nearly kill me with a single arrow.

The difficulty curve between those guys and the rest of the whole mod was insane.

Sony wanted to have their own mod store, Bethesda was like "lol no that would just complicate things (the irony)," so they agreed that they'd use Bethnet under the lines that it would only be plugins. It's not just you. A huge cause of the load time was the various LUTs, so I dropped their size to half and the load is a good bit faster even adding more.

In addition over a hundred irrelevant weather .inis were removed in favor of 21 much more customized .inis, so the Load Configuration function now works muuuuch faster (from like 35 seconds to 5, roughly.)

Running in higher resolutions does tend to affect framerate yes.

Well, to be fair, in the end it was Sony that screwed all of its users over with the no external assets policy. The same thing happened with Fo4. The console makers have Bethesda completely by the balls regarding these policies, so the users just get served whatever flavor of shit M$/Sony decides is on the menu.

Depends on how far down the rabbit hole you're going, though there's a bit extra instability always baked in due to the framework.

Defeat + a few decent animations is actually a pretty good death alternative, all things considered, There's a few mods that merely add options to quests to use sex to complete them or as a reward. That's relatively on the light end, as far as these things go, and can add to the IMMERSIVE.

Then there's grabbing a bunch of the Devious mods and suddenly your game is entirely centered around you in bondage gear getting raped and/or enslaved and nothing else. If you go all in like that, or with the MNC and related stuff, you pretty much have to build your game entirely around it, gameplay and install-wise.

The Emperor is always either gifted with some sort of precognition in relation to the fate of Tamriel or is informed by forces whom are.

Consolefag, so no mods. I have a pretty standard routine when I start a new character where I trek to Falkreath and clear out some of the random little bandit hovels and wolf dens. South of the mountains that surround the Pinewatch there are two particular little spots with some random bandits, one has one of those locked cheats where some bandits appear when you open it, and one is a little camp set up alongside the stream that runs down the side of the mountains. That's the one where the Lunar Lorkhan book is. I've followed the stream from top to bottom. There's nothing there. If im missing it, it's the first time I've missed it in the last half dozen characters I've made. It's quite odd. And it's bugging the hell out of me lol.

It tries to download tertiary info for mods you've added via file and not downloaded through the NMM itself.

If it finds that info it shows version number and update info etc. as well as places it in the "correct" nexus category.

If it cannot find that information (the system isn't perfect and there's lots of janky filenames that don't play nice with the "update info" feature) then you have to do it yourself.

Unslaad is the wonderness you'd expect from Vicn. You know that one fortress you go through where you kill Vernaccus? It's kind of that experience, except more waifus and more cute. So pretty 11/10 short quest.

Make sure you're not too OP against the boss, you really gotta take in those custom scripted attacks.

This might be getting a bit specific, but this is the river west of Helgen that has for want of a better description 3 "pools" right?

Like there's sections of rocky / river water that leads into a pool then continues on to another rocky / river section.

The Lunar Lorkan is in the small camp right before the corrundom ore vein as you're travelling from Helgen right?

It's like only a tent and a fireplace. I often "camp" my character out there while exploring the area.

Its not even that they couldnt have done a good job, it was such a great setup. It just fell so flat on its face that I cant believe it fucked itself the way it did.

IDK mang, there's plenty for a Vampire play-through in Dawnguard and if you're a really hardcore vampire guy there's some great mods that really flesh out the gameplay side of things.

TES is all about freedom and writing your own story - so plot devices weaken because the 8 ft Barbarian Nord who literally shouts at clouds to control the weather has to do the same quest-lines as the 100+ year old Dunmer vampire count who solves all his problems with mind control magic.

Why would we want TES to be more like Blood and Wine? We already have Blood and Wine itself which does a fine job of doing just that.
