In my playthrough, Sigrid's husband, Alvor, died during a dragon attack. Solveig felt responsible for his death and felt even worse when she inherited money from him. Feeling that his money should have been sent to his family, she gave it to them in addition to some extra funds. Solveig stops by Riverwood to visit Sigrid and her daughter on occasion.

The two had a bit of a moment on Thanksgiving.

Since then, visits have been more frequent and they've been pretty close but not that close. For now, Solveig will continue to act as the provider for the family as well as a consoler for Sigrid.

Is there currently any reason to bother with the special edition other than for meme jokes about how inept bethesda is at remaking a game that has existed for years now?

It's a remaster built off of having used Skyrim to test out shit for Fo4. Not a remake. There is a fucking difference.

That said, the SE is much more stable than vanilla skyrim and can pull more resources without ghetto as fuck fixes. If you are not particularly attached to the script extender and you have enough of your preferred load order ported to Newrim, there's little point in playing Oldrim unless you want to fap.

Is the ENB development for Skyrim SE kill?

It is built on a 64bits platform, so it is going to be far more stable with mods.

BUT, it will take a long while before we have a SKSE for the new version, so the really useful mods will take a little to be ported.

If you got it free from Steam, go ahead.

If you have to purchase it, FUCK NO, they charging almost the same that they did with the first Skyrim when it went out 5 years ago, and you won't be able to use your mods yet. Give it a year or so, you will get it with a lower price and many mods would have been ported by then..

Quick question. Playing SSE.

Normally I never play with DoF on from ENBs, just turn it on for screenies of sweeties.

I do like the minor dof that came with SSE though just for gameplay, I don't find it very obtrusive and it means I can just put on a heavy on in my ENB and toggle on off when I want. My question is though, if I toggle on ENB DoF wil it simply overwrite the SSE one or is it actually causing weird overlapping because both DoF are turned on? I am just not sure about this stuff and its hard to compare, blur vs blur.

I'm almost level 10 so I can do the Path of the Druid mod quests, but I won't know what to do with those cool spells once I get them.

i know that feel. I tried to do that for a long time, constantly came up with ideas for "builds" and other shit, barely made it past 5 hours /played before starting something new, obsession with game balance and tweaking of my balance mods and so on.

For someone picking the game up for the first time who wants to start with a vanilla play through SE is a pretty clear winner. Not that there are that many people who haven't already played it picking it up these days.

If you're willing to be fiddly and install untested mods that haven't been officially ported it's not even that bad in terms of modding, though not having SKSE hurts. Probably anyone who isn't deep enough in Skyrim modding already to know what they're missing should probably just get SE and wait for the 64 bit version of script extender if they're buying.

I more mean a point your character feels "finished".
Of course a certain set of gear may be part of that, but I also mean skills.
For example, a pure mage may feel finished when it has maxed every school of magic (or at least the specialties within each school you like. e.g. only specializing with atronach summoning in conjuration and nothing else).

To be fair to Bethesda for a moment, as much as they usually don't deserve it, working on something for a game and then having to drop it (for god only knows what reason in this case) is completely normal in game development. Doesn't really absolve Beth of the bad high level design decisions made for Skyrim but they got more hate over the spears thing in particular at the time than they probably deserved.

Your skills level on a use based system, so play the game the way the systems are urging you to and let how you want to play direct your character advancement choices not the other way around. Builds belong in Elder Scrolls games because characters need to be different and being different has to be enticing by actually being a viable option, especially in a game where the most optimal playstyle, Stealth Archery, is also the most boring. Build isn't exactly the term I'd use to describe it but it's close enough. Going unarmed isn't really viable in Skyrim unless you built toward that playstyle starting with your character's race, which replaces the Roleplaying aspect with Rollplaying and minmaxing, which is not what TES is about.

I ran the meshes through NIF Optimizer and re-saved the .esp in the new CK. Is there anything else that should be done to properly port it for my personal use? It currently works in SSE after doing those things, but I like making sure all of my mods are clean and working without bugs.
