When I was two hours into XV it would let me choose a bunch of colours for the car when I took it to Cindy, now I can only choose Deep Sea Blue and Ivory even though I've got loads of different types of dust.

Divider isn't just a hard hitting AoE, it's the HARDEST hitting AoE we have so far. It does 3.6x damage, which is way more than Lightning or Luneth could even dream of.

With enhancements it becomes a 5.715x AoE attack, and it's STILL not his best skill.

But what happens is it becomes a 12 hit attack that alternates on hitting every 4 turns and 6 turns. That means if you give him an elemental weapon (which he has access to ALL of) he can chain with any other unit.

Okay, so all the opening crap happens. Lightning's birthday happens. Serah suddenly brings in a dude and announces she's getting married. This is after Lightning has not only taken care of her as a mother figure the entire time but also its her younger sister, so not only is she being replaced in terms of not being needed as a mother but also her younger sister is "more woman" than her and already getting married, frustrating Lightning. Then all the opening stuff happens and Hope's mother dies mostly due to Snow's fault and Serah gets crystallized. Snow straight refuses to leave Serah but Lightning leaves since she disagrees with his idiocy, but probably still questions her commitment to Serah. She ends up teaming with Hope.

Hope has just lost his mother and probably is in need of a maternal figure, right? Seems like Lightning should fit right in, right? Also he's a adolescent boy and she's a hot girl so she can catch up to her sister in terms of being a wanted woman, right? But Hope turns out to be a crying, irrationally angry bitch that doesn't give two shits about her, and Lightnings frustration grows until she summons Odin etc etc.

You also have his and Vanille's awkwardness, the tense relationship with his father and reluctance to get close to him, and potentially some awkwardness in being saved (via hugging) by Snow, the hunky, hot guy who kinda was at fault for his mom dying but is still hot, in a gay way.

I could go into a little more detail but post limit etc, plus the interpersonal interaction stuff is mostly Lightnings route since they travel together.

Hope followed Lightning on his own though, there was no "teaming up" that she was planning on doing. She was also frustrated that the kid was following her around, it had nothing to do with Hope not caring about her.

Lightning wasn't looking to make any emotional connections there, but one did end up happening with Hope later anyway (not romantically, though). Lightning was honestly the one with bigger attitude problems in that duo early on.

Its quite possible I give them too much credit, since they really did spend most of XIII-2 and LR re-writing the outcome of XIII into something that makes sense, and they only had to break their entire timeline twice to get there while essentially writing out several primary characters. It's more of a "this is how I would write it given what has happened previously", which is why I said it makes more sense to me if Hope was gay.

Well lets analyze it actually, JP got more mission lapis, both on the first few islands AND in the events(I'm just waiting for the moment the story starts giving out 25 per stage, I got the popcorn ready)
It has the 5k for tutorial
The only other things are gacha revamp and instant crafting, but these were things that were added recently(with crafting being this week) so GL will probably have them
Oh right and materia stacking doesn't work in GL and they nerfed the mog currency gain, but can't think of anything else

That's kinda hit-and-miss, Letters and Arms is an example of something that stacks in GL but not JP.
