If, hypothetically, another marathon were to happen, I'd say coinciding it with Mania's release actually wouldn't be the most opportune timing. If you REALLY wanted to set up some hype, you'd start stoking the fires in late summer, after people have chewed through Mania and still anxious for more. Then kick off the dump proper, maybe starting in early September.

Starting the dump at 6pm EST and going through 8-10 issues a night Mon-Fri seemed to strike a nice balance of anon availability and posting pace. Assuming the OP had done his homework beforehand and could stay dedicated to a schedule to finish in December, he could not only ride the hype for Project 2017 but ALSO cap the marathon with the milestone #300 issue. As someone who isn't that big on comics and didn't start reading until SWC was almost over in October, I really liked it. The characters' dialogue was fun to read, there was good action all around (save for the really lame final battle against Dark Gaia), and most of the donut steels were interesting and fit well in the universe. Plus it was nice to see someone try to consolidate various elements of the games into a consistent universe and tone.

Currently I'm at work but I'll give you some info. The video will come later tonight. He came a bit late to Thanksgiving due to some bullshit. But I was glad that he came because he was so late that I thought he wouldn't show up. Even though I hate his tuna breath smelling face. To be honest, it was a relatively civil thanksgiving. No big political outbursts or anything of note. He did eat 3/4th of the pearl onions though. And there was a small gripe about that.

When it was downtime, he was on the porch on his phone. I did ask him about Lara-Su Chronicles. He lit up and smiled at me and said "Oh you've heard about that?" He didn't want to give out any story info because he didn't want it getting out. Saying that "There are many idiots who want to defame me, and I want them to experience the whole story at once and not have bits and pieces being torn apart and being slandered." Even though I know he's posted previews of pages and 'art'.

Anyway later tonight or tomorrow I'll post the phone videos. I have to finish my shift and break is almost up.

I know for a fact the gamespot review for 06 was 44 and for Unleashed was 35.

Most of the low ratings for unleashed boil down to "why is sonic not going fast" or "Werehog? More like SHIThog, amirite?" or "Why is doing the first combo in the game over and over so boring? Why am I not blowing through enemies by just pressing xxxx or xxxy over and over again?" or "Is Chip just JarJar binks?"

No. 2006 was the year Ian started on the comics, and he was too busy cleaning house and setting up his own plots. The reboot set the comic after '06, as well, and since '06 rewrites itself out of history, we're not going to see its events in a flashback or anything.

Now, had the reboot not happened, we might have had an '06 arc, as I feel Ian would have waited to do one until he had written quite a few stories of Team Dark working for GUN, just to establish their relationship come '06 plot.
