guys, a question

I'm playing DA:I for the first time (GOTY ed) and heard you can get some fun items through Special Shipments so I turned on few trials (the level scaling one, walk softly and grizzly end). The way I see it level scaling is actually a good idea for this game due to how the world is designed but I think it might make me level too fast and the level cap is 27 right? So basically at which level should I turn on the Take It Slow trial which lowers the xp gain by half? Looks like it might be necessary if I dont want to end up levelcapped halfway through the game (level 8 already and didnt even go to Redcliffe yet).

Also, with those trials on, what would be the best difficulty level? Hard or Nightmare?

Hey faggos, just pirated Cisquistion because origins is one of my GOATs and I heard it's not as bad as DA2

While starting my game, I noticed you can turn on trials in the custom difficulty setting. Would you recommend doing this for some?

I'm not sure if I should play on hard default setting, normal with some trials or hard with some trials.

I'm considering running Even Ground (scales up enemies if you're above their level), Walk Softly (gives them some extra abilities), Fair Weathered Friends (negative approval ratings are doubled for actions) and Grizzly End (strong bears... I think?)
Maybe Rub Some Dirt In It as well (basically disables healing potions)

I know you can switch difficulty settings & shit during the game but I'm the kind of autist that hates changing difficulties in a game because I feel like if you lower the difficulty at any point in the game you played the entire game at that difficulty

I just got Dragon Age Origins during the sale, I only ever played it on 360, so I imagine that the PC version is going to feel a LOT fucking better.

I've already installed a few mods, nothing major, just visual stuff, like the one that makes elves look more DA2-y, some body proportion stuff, that's pretty much it.

Any other mods worth a look? I know there's one that lets you respec, so I might have a look at that. The only downside to this proportion fix mod I grabbed is it's only for the default armors, so it might seem a bit off to use non-default armor, a shame.

vanilla DAO elves looks kinda meh, it's one of the very few positives I saw in 2, though I wish elves weren't so damn skinny. I guess you could say that Solas is racist because of some of his ignorant comments about other races, but I think it's less about racial animosity and more of a trait of his personality because he thinks he's superior to everyone, from his fellow ancient elves to the Avvar. Now Zevran actually touches upon the subject of actual real life racism by saying that elves are exoticised and mystified by humans, this is basically Edward Said's orientalism condensed into a flirty line by a fictional elf. Also, Leliana never gets over her own weird ideas about other races (having a weird savior complex towards the elves and the qunari in DAI as if they even want to be saved by her), but I've never seen anyone rant about that.

I'd say that druid, priest and paladin are the best beginner classes if you're planning to play the OC because they can heal and you can only have one henchman with you. I'd suggest taking Tomi Undergallows (rogue) or Sharwyn (bard) along because they can pick locks.
You need to play as a male and have at least 9 intelligence if you want to "romance" Aribeth, but her actual romance happens with a different protagonist in one of the expansions. The original campaign is really kind of shit so you can just skip it and go straight to the expansions.

What? The new video of MEA wasn't good at all. The animations suck (they were at least decent in Inquisition) and the dialogues sound bland at best.

The ME team is full of SJW white-knights who had to ask the DA team for help, while the DA team prefers to do things on its own. If anything, DA4 will try to do its own thing as much different as possible from Andromeda, especially if this bombs or isn't well received.
