Sword legendaries directly interact with the commader/officer stuff though. Putting an Aurelia on the board can be used to give an officer storm or draw 2 from Conscription. That's a pretty direct interation with the class ability that is far and above the level of interaction Shadow gets with it's legendaries

Those are other cards interacting with the Legendaries. Much like how other cards with Necromancy can use the Shadows generated by Shadow's Legendaries.

Direct interaction from a Sword Legendary would require them to have an effect like a Commander giving an Officer buffs, not an non-legendary Officer getting buffs if a Commander (Legendary) is in play.

There's a difference between playing a deck that loses to Dshift and playing a deck that loses to every popular deck on ladder.

Elana can't establish a threatening board quickly, if you can keep their board empty you don't have to overextend into themis. As long as you position just enough to be able to punish the empty turn of putting Seraph down, you don't just throw your whole hand on curve down on the board.

Of course this all goes to hell when they play goblinmount/snake priestess followed by incandescent dragon followed by Satan on turn 8.

9/10 times I made the correct play and farm Elana netdecks, I just get annoyed when I see decks that don't have a positive win rate against any class which is why I've been sitting down and grinding out of this hellhole rank.

When it works it works beautifully, but yeah it does feel very slow sometimes.
You can rush it into 3 HP minions. You can put it out and see the opponent awkwardly avoiding it, especially if you go first and drop it on turn 4.

The masters that are in the ranking have a lot more points and play their own meta decks and are better at the game than netdecking tryhards in AA.

Basically you want to keep them from getting early kills. Shadow is kind of designed around fucking over and punishing rushes to get necro. Be mindful of early drops if you're a sword/forest because if they get a half decent draw it's liable to blow up in your face and they'll start shitting on you late game. Also Banish options are an absolute must to counter Mordecais. If they're meming on you they can even eventually get 4 mordecais on the field.

So when playing forest am I pretty much supposed to save my evolves for roach plays? I can see some exceptions like using a fairy for lethal, but it seems like most of my games are won with roach. Whenever I evolve an Ancient Elf she gets DoD or some other form of removal used on her so it seems wasteful. Also when going first Elven Princess Mage seems useless. Am I wrong?

Two face damage is too much coupled with the removal. Possibly keep 5 PP but change it so the face damage depends on the value of the removed target (i.e valuable target = no face damage and vice versa). Obnoxious to see DoD almost every single game. Do note that i dislike cards of that nature in general. Amulet removal? Sure. Removal/damage on evo? Sure. Just straight up remove almost any follower + significant face damage from hand for 5 PP? Nah. Doesn't get anywhere near elana levels of annoying though.

They should still give the +50 Win Streak Bonus to Rank A and up, but only towards Score Rewards and not actual rank score.

It's unfair that those in lower ranks can grind the rewards faster with the help of the streak bonus. This is one of the reasons why most players sandbag.
