It works pretty well

Basically her magical damage caps out very fast(1370 magic damage), and heroes reach 2k HP very fast.
Even Eblade just puts heroes at -5% magic resistance, boosting damage to like 1450 damage.

Meanwhile MKB + Mjollnir Lina do real damage because she has a Steroid and Disable. And can blink Initate.

So I just had an awful, awful streak of losses in a row, some have been my fault, some were not. The thing is, I need to quit this game because I don't enjoy it anymore, and because I've just about reached my tolerance level for the shit community (including this general) but I'm way too deep in now to quit. I like League for certain things (simpler and more static layout makes it easier to play while tired and I actually like playing certain characters) but their esports scene is by far the worst out of any. Everyone plays so passively and nothing interesting happens for the first 35 minutes.
What makes it worse is the casters are complete spergs and scream at the top of their lungs all the time because the game is so goddamn boring that they have to yell just to keep it exciting when nothing happens. Also gook dicksucking is turned to 11 there.
I'd wager even Blizzard Dota has a more interesting scene than that shit.

I've found after playing multiplayer games for a while with no progression to play besides the personal, that returning to single-player games which're a great ride is brilliant.

Breaking from the familiar pattern and I guess the self-discipline/improvement of multiplayers can be a good thing. The familiarity and feeling of a need to persevere and improve can keep you playing long past enjoyment stops.

A fun and good game reminds you why you enjoy games. Going all-in on some games' multiplayers can lead to bitterness as they're often designed to hold you when really past a point it's better to let go, or at least take a good break.

Often when you do take the break and move onto other things you realise you don't want to go back anyway.

When I needed to get a carry, PL was my hero. Splitpushing, draining mana, 4.2 AGI GAIN and mindgaming with the invi.

Midas is core on any variation of invoker because he is hands down the most level hungry hero in the entire game, and nobody scales as well with levels as he does.
QW is probably less effective now than it once was thanks to memedrop, but it can work if they have an alch or another hero who likes to jungle, at which point you can grab an orchid and one point in E for alacrity, and go farm jungle heroes.
Hell since most pubs have that one fucking jungle legion QW is probably a great pubstomp build.

It looks like your team had no idea how to play passive against strong early game heroes and didn't contest void's farm at all.

Your team aside, I'd argue mjollnir is not the item here, butterfly would have been WAY better to deal with SB bashing you and maybe surviving void's chrono.
You also really needed to finish your abyssal, again for extra surviveability but also since your magnus and lion clearly didn't know how to use their disables. That and a blink would have let you initiate.
Before you say you didn't have the money that's entirely on you. You have less than 200 cs at 40 fucking minutes in a game where you were dead for at most 4. You clearly had the space available unless you were pushed to your base for 30 minutes.

Manta for disjointing and to use the illusions durning ult, also great against phoenix egg. Really wanted a blink too, but I thought that our magnus and SK would be good at initiating, allowing me to just phase boots in. I picked up a maelstorm to help with the farm, and then finishing it to Mjollnir was the easiest.

Well what helps a lot of carries right now is an early game fighting pickup. For some it's echo sabre, others it's armlet. Problem is for pl a lot of these don't really work for him and you can easily spot which pl is real.

It's especially worse for him since he went from splitpushing machine to teamfight disruption/confusion.
