The 3 main in charge are
Kurosawa Tetsu, who also did character design in DG1.
Okishiji En, who helped draw the class portraits in DG1. Also did the moe art for SoSC.
Kyo, who did the demon designs in DG1.

In other news, I've acquired a super awesome Rifle now.
Base damage: 1205
Has SNP rounds.
Water damage 223 (733 when boosted by this Mitama combination)
Precision: 120 (when fully upgraded to level 9)

Elemental damage at 733 is sort of almost enough to recover the Focus used by Spirit Sniper when I have 2x Knowledge Absorb.
The Knowledge Leech helps my Health stay at max at all times, which in return makes full use of Exuberance and Majesty, so that's a pretty nice synergy going on there.

Then finally the extra 120 Precision isn't all that much, but when I get paired with your HLG shadow, the Zeal will boost those 120 Precision by a lot as well.

This build is just plain kick ass.

I made the mistake of buying FFXIII at launch, and again with FFXIII - 2 because some part of me felt that maybe it could fix everything.

FFXV looks like everything I ever wanted in a modern final fantasy game when I was 12; Kingdom Hearts gameplay, political intrigue story, soundtrack by Yoko Shimomura; but it's for all those reasons that I'm all the more skeptical. Add in the fact that this game (Final Fantasy Versus XIII) has been in production for a decade, literally a decade, and was cancelled multiple times during that time, and tie that together with all the absolutely fucking awful trash SE has thrown at us over the past 10 years now.

It's not even about being a hipster; all you have to do is look at their track record, and the amount they're spending on a crazy advertising campaign for this game (that movie and that weird 2D "prequel game" that it ships with), and also the fact that it has a huge Day 1 patch, and it all just doesn't sit right.

Don't buy it at launch, honestly.

Wait for reviews, wait to see what the general reception is, and if it looks safe, go for it then, but don't dive in blind to the actual quality of the final, end product.

First guardian down in MeiQ and I only have one complaint.

The random encounter rate is VERY low. Like super low (one battle every 50ish steps). But you have quests that require enemies to drop items.

Plus the first boss jumped me to level 10 so I feel like I was underleveled.
