If I was more than willing to abandon that particular NNID (for both consoles) could I just have it deleted by nintendo?

Yep the only thing nintendo did wrong is on the wii if you install a bad wad it refuses to load the system menu. Same with the 3ds in its early days. Its why emunand was a thing. Just make shure your wads are good. Its kind of funny on a sony system it handles errors like this but nintendo systems just brick if a game is corrupted. Kind of makes you wonder if nintendo did it on purpose or where they just lazy.

My vita hardbricked during taiHenkaku installation, and now opening the browser gives an error, C0-15008-4, which resets system into safe mode with only 2 options available: restart and restore system. I'm not restoring my Vita, as this may not fix the error and in the worst case I'll be without browser and offline installer.
Looking through the error history, there is another error, C0-11478-1. Both errors occur in NPXS19999 application, which doesn't exist. Somehow 3.61 is listed as the system software, but my firmware is 3.60
I don't know what happened. I can still use the offline installer to get henkaku, but it looks like I'm out of luck with taihenkaku (also there is no tai directory in ux0).

I'd say go for a 8GB. Since it's a PSTV, it'll always be near a computer so you can transfer things around. Any higher is just more convenient. I got a 4GB for my PSTV and it's been fine, since I bought physical copies when possible.

There's also some reddit post saying the cards die if you transfer to much stuff on and off it. Usually twice it's capacity. I've probably moved ~30GB of stuff on and off my 4GB card and haven't had an issue.

The larger cards arent more prone to failure than the small ones. People either got a unlucky binned chip or they write way too much stuff to it. The only people that buy 64GB vita cards are usually the ones hoarding hundreds of pictures and games with lots of individual files which add up considerably to the write cycle count.
