I talk as a newbie and a noob: I started playing WT with the only single purpose of playing tanks in RB, because regardless of everything, it's genuinely fun, and gives a great feel. However, after two hundred something battles in RB (and four hundred in AB to ease the grind) I still have no fucking clue of what I'm doing, especially in those maps with lots of visual impairments (vegetation, fences, and so on). Shell damage mechanics are still black magic to me, and many times it's an infinite loop of "press battle" "drive a bit" "blow up without notice" "return to the hangar". I have no clue on what and where to improve for the simple fact I can't fight long enough to gather such information.

With the same amount of battles in WoT and WoWs I managed to have and keep a 55% WR.

Well, WoWS ships do wobble around like that and can kind-of behave similarly when ramming allied ships.

It's just that the wobbling doesn't affect aiming because it makes gameplay easier, and because WG is too lazy to implement a proper way to calculate ramming damage between opposite-sides ship.

They are decently expensive, the mobility upgrades and main gun accuracy are probably the priority and you will want them, which I go with the Prop mod 2,and Steering gears 3 for maximum maneuverability, but the older style of Steering gears 2 and Concealment would still work fine and is probably pretty useful if you don't have CE yet.
After that it's probably just main battery survivability and rudder survivability.

Because 60% of your firepower isn't facing forward you do have to spend more time showing your sides, but it's still basically about minimizing how many hits you're going to take by sailing to evade incoming fire, presenting the smallest target possible, using cover and stealth and letting other people take hits for you, ect.
You have good torps with good angles and you are decently tanky (against stuff smaller than the big BB guns obviously) so she can be a pretty fun bote and if you enjoy the Aoba you'll probably really enjoy her too.
