The Party wil be imbued with a special Smash Energy that can extract the hidden LSS's from thier holders and Palutena will keep watch and tell them when said holder is nearby. She has pinpointed the LSS's to the 10 cities and villages on Smash World and 2 in Smash Space.
0-3; The only way to extract the ISS's, however, is to have a Party Member bring the Holder to a sexual climax. The Smash Energy held by the Party Member will release the LSS to grab. It is "imprinted" to whoever grabs it. The LSS will then be transported to Palutena for safe keeping until the big showdown. There also other, lesser Smash Spirit's in people throughout the Smash Universe as well, but they dont give off enough energy to be pinpointed. While weaker, the other Smash Spirits are still powerful and if they can grab those as well, then that betters the chances. Took me a while, but I found the bit of code that's responsible for decompressing the files. It does use zlib but I think they may have done something to it to prevent any random dude (aka us) from decompressing it with zlib straight up. It seems to be accessing another library and verifying a checksum before decompressing, and if you comment out those lines the game throws a Zlib error that says "incorrect header check". So I assume it's altering the header in some way to make it readable.

You were absolutely right though, the game seems to read it line by line. In fact I bet the game could easily be modified to read the decompressed .txt files straight up - it seems like that's what the game originally did before the author decided to add compression and obfuscate it (this line: filename.sub!(/\.txt/, ".mil" suggests that he originally wrote the game to read from .txt files but when development was finished instead of replacing every instance in the code he simply wrote it into the scene player)

The solution was so simple it was deceptive. There was no need to crack the encryption at all when we can simply go around it.

What I did was comment out all the zlib compression bullshit and just had it read from the "extracted" files you sent me, line by line. Then all I had to do was edit a simple text file and the scene's text was changed. If I wanted to, I could even edit the graphics and music in the scene using tags.

Open the project in RPG Maker VX Ace and open the Script Editor. Navigate to the script "[Miriel] テキスト" (near the bottom). CTRL-F "def _readFile" without the quotes. Replace that code block with the following: http://pastebin.com/DhQzKC8U

(you don't have to keep the old code but I highly recommend you do)

Then, simply place the extracted text files in the Scenario directory where the .mil files are, and translate the text within. It will appear in-game because the scripts will read those instead of the .mil files. You can keep the .mil files if you want.
