Naruto ultimate ninja storm 4 is on sale on steam. So I know the boruto dlc is coming and it's going to have an option to buy it as a whole or just upgrade 4 with a $20 dlc. So is there any reason I shouldn't buy 4 and the dlc upgrade later as opposed to waiting for the boruto release and buying it all at once? Will I miss out on anything by doing the upgrade route. The only major things I want from boruto are adult naruto and sasuke so if I can get those, I'm good.

Summary time.

We picked up where we left off - at the party. As it was though, almost everybody was done there, the three who were there decided to call it quits and head back to the hotel. Only once they had left did Waniko forget she forgot to give Ilya the book. She guessed it was for the best, considering that she would've had to head past Sasuke to give it to her. Fugetsu pointed out that she simply could've headed around the other way, but Waniko - slightly panicked - said that he still could've seen her and watched her hand the book over. Fugetsu said that she could just give it later, as thanks for teaching her enough to get her through the Exam. Arata, ever the optimist, told her that hey, he could probably see her just about anywhere anyway. That just creeped Waniko out even more. Arata wondered if he was staying in the same hotel. Fugetsu took a shot in the dark and said he probably slept in some sort of interdimensional portal. Waniko, now super panicking, told them to stop talking about it because she wouldn't be able to sleep that night. Fugetsu suggested piling up a ton of sheets, making a fort, and making her her own interdimensional space. Arata said that Sasuke could probably just pop up anywhere, but Waniko said that she liked Fugetsu's idea.

Fugetsu and Arata now decided this was the time to hit up Arata about his whole 'being a dick towards members of another Village' thing from before. Waniko straight-up told Arata he had been a jerk lately, and bet that their lives probably really DID depend on what he said to that Suna team next time, and if not their lives, at least their health and wellbeing, and that even in a sparring match they could probably drop the pain on the team, or more likely just him, if they were angry enough. Fugetsu agreed, saying that it wasn't the best idea Arata had. Arata didn't apparently didn't realise his teammates felt this way, because he immediately started sulking.

Waniko tried to salvage the situation, saying that she could appreciate what he was trying to do, getting into their heads, but insulting people probably wasn't the best way to go about it. Fugetsu agreed, but Arata kept awkwardly looking everywhere that wasn't his team. Waniko and Fugetsu kept trying to get him to understand that they weren't trying to take it out on him, just that it may have not been the best idea, but Arata remained pretty subdued.

Back at the hotel, Fugetsu made a call to room service and requested extra sheets. The staff, perhaps thinking he meant for everyone, rocked up with half a dozen or so extras. Fugetsu and Waniko immediately got to work building a pillow and sheet fort, after waking up Renya to help, with Waniko hunting down some pens and paper and putting a 'No Sasukes allowed!' sign on the front. It wasn't specified if it had a badly drawn picture of Sasuke and a circle with a line through it, but I like to think so. Arata was still sulking, and went to his room when they got back. Turns out he's one of those people who can dish out the banter, but can't take it. Finishing the fort, Waniko brought her own pillows and blankets in it, and got to sleep. She considered asking Fugetsu to join, but decided against it.

The next morning, the team got another small sleep in, waking up at around 9, other than Waniko, who kept snoozing. About half an hour after the team were awake, there was a knock at the door. Arata managed to stumble out of bed and answer the door. Tenten was there, looking dead to the world. As Arata went to say hello, she put a hand on his mouth and held a finger to her lips, shushing him. She told him to keep everything as quiet as possible, before taking a sip of water. Groaning a little, she asked if Renya was here. Arata said he might've left early, but should still be here. He invited Tenten in as he went to get his teammate.

Arata rolled an 8 on a Medicine check, and so diagnosed Tenten with the flu - as she clearly had a headache, aversion to light and sound, mild nausea, and mild instability while walking. Tenten had a bit of a chuckle at the fort and asked what the go was. Fugetsu explained that it was 'their homemade defence against a potential overnight interdimensional incursion'. Arata, apparently not realising Fugetsu was still here, asked if he had seen Renya. He hadn't, so Arata checked Renya's room. Tenten looked confused for a moment at Fugetsu's explanation for the fort, but then laughed, and then groaned, holding her head. She asked if they meant Sasuke. Waniko, still asleep, rolled over and mumbled something about Sasuke staying away from her. Renya came out of the room with Arata, asking why everyone was here. Arata explained why Tenten was here, and said he thinks she has the flu. Renya repeated his diagnosis, but Arata asked if he was questioning his medical experience. Renya told him he might be out of his depth, but Arata simply said that Renya was welcome to give his second opinion.

Renya greeted Tenten, who groaned, and told them all to shush again, holding her head and taking another drink. She went over to the fort and took a look at Waniko, before turning to Fugetsu, asking what the go was with Sasuke, while the other two were arguing over what was wrong with Tenten. Fugetsu just said that Waniko needed some reassurance, so they made her the fort. Tenten raised an eyebrow, and asked why she needed reassurance, saying that Sasuke could be a bit dour, but he was on their side now. Fugetsu said that he was still perfectly fine grabbing her by the neck at the slightest suspicion, and that he wasn't the most cooperative person he's ever met. Tenten blinked and asked Fugetsu to repeat that, but Arata jumped in, saying that he didn't think they should go into detail. Tenten pauses and nods, saying that wasn't what she was here for.

She planned on stopping by for a little, then having a massive breakfast, getting a ton of coffee, and passing out. She turned to Renya and said she vaguely, VAGUELY remembered saying that she'd help Renya with something today. Arata asked when Renya met up with Tenten, who waved her hand and said they just ran into each other the night before. Or at least, she thought she did. Last night to her had been pretty blurry, and she asked if she had given them all some money. Renya looked a little confused and asked how much everyone else got. Tenten rubbed her eyes and said she was down about 800 Ryo, or, you know, 800 Ryo beyond what she remembered spending. After thinking for a moment, she shook her head and said she only remembered bits of the previous night. She pointed a thumb at Waniko and said she THINKS she might have set up some sort of trade deal with a guy from her clan, perhaps, but she didn't really know.

Arata decided to once and for all figure out what was going on with Tenten, asking what was wrong with her. Tenten simply said that in the future, he'd find out that while drinking is fun, drinking TOO much isn't fun when you wake up. Arata, slightly horrified, asked what she drank, but Tenten just chuckled and groaned, answering 'too much'. Getting back on track, Renya asked Tenten if she could take a look at the notes and symbols he had collected. Tenten agreed, and started going through them, getting a pen and some extra paper from Renya. Tenten started scribbling notes, rotating the symbols or holding them over one another, pausing to take a drink every now and then.

After about five to ten minutes, Tenten called Renya back over, saying she reckoned she could extrapolate how it came together, but said she didn't think it'd be something he'd be able to replicate, as the totems were an integral part of the barrier. Renya asked if he could use temporary mediums in a perimeter, and both he and Tenten suggested using kunai at the same time.

Tenten said that it could probably work, but the barrier wouldn't be strong, nor last long, but he'd need some specialist kunai, like Minato's Flying Thunder God kunai. She rubbed her eyes and began talking to herself, saying that she a temporary seal on a regular kunai would work, but that would dilute the power even more, and would reduce the range. Renya said it'd also be hard to fuel them all by himself, but Tenten shrugged and said he could just prepare the jutsu ahead of time, and that if he performed a good seal, it'd hold chakra for a long time. Renya said he'd like to find some other way to keep it active, but Tenten said he'd need people, permanent mediums, or putting the seals directly onto the landscape, apart from rare exceptions, where one person could summon a whole barrier themselves.

Fugetsu jumped in, asking if two people would be enough to raise a barrier. Tenten glanced at him, and said that there usually needs to be a minimum of three, but two could possibly create a wall barrier or something. She asked if he knew sealing, and Renya said he picked it up really quickly. Which is something I forgot to mention last game - Renya taught Fugetsu how to seal water bottles into a scroll, so he doesn't dehydrate when use his Hiden technique, and Fugetsu rolled a nat 20 with a +10 mod, essentially sealing it perfectly on his very first try. Fugetsu said he wasn't going to specialise in it, but he'd give it a try if something took two people. Tenten nodded, saying that perhaps the Chuunin Exam wasn't the best place to try something completely new, but she still wrote down a string of three symbols onto a piece of paper and gave it to Renya, saying that putting them on four kunai and throwing them would be enough to hold one person for a few seconds. It wasn't much, but it was a start. She said it might throw the other team off, as she doubted they had see much in the way of sealing or barriers. With that, she bid them goodbye, and left.

Everyone said goodbye to Tenten and wished her well, telling her to get better soon. Waniko woke up as Tenten left, confused that everyone was up already, and asking what she had missed. Everyone gave her the rundown, saying that Tenten had stopped by and gave Renya some tips. Arata said that Renya didn't answer earlier, saying that Tenten said she met Renya the night before, but Renya said he had been asleep, and that when she came and gave them the money, she had been looking for 'Renya's team', and so she couldn't have seen him yet.

Renya more or less came clean, saying that he had swung by the store and picked up something a health potion, and then went to the library to research seals, before running into her outside the hotel when he got back. Arata passed an Insight check, and learned that while Renya wasn't exactly lying, he wasn't divulging the whole truth, either. He said that he and Arata already knew a bit about Boruto and Sarada, but said they still needed a solid plan. Fugetsu said that he was working on a decent one, but he'd be more confident if he knew what Mitsuki could do. Arata cautioned that although they had a bit of knowledge of them, they'd grown a lot in the few short months, and said that Boruto and Sarada probably had as well. Renya agreed, and said that he hadn't known Mitsuki could use medical ninjutsu until the team had mentioned that he needed help fixing Boruto.

Fugetsu laid out a rough thought of his plan: he wanted Arata and Renya to focus on Mitsuki from the start. Arata asked what 'Misty' was going to be doing. Fugetsu rose above the jibe, and said that he'd be facing off against Sarada, as she couldn't copy his Boil Release, leaving Waniko to roam and fight Boruto. Fugetsu admitted that he did sort of want to go against someone who wants to be Hokage.

We then got off-topic, and left it there. Fight should begin on Saturday!

I know i'm late to the party, but I finally have a computer that's able to run Storm 4, and man, it's a huge step-up from Revolution
It plays a lot nicer, and the new characters are a blast to play with. The Last Naruto and Sarada are, thus far, my favorites of the newcomers. I have yet to finish the first chapter of the story, and while it bugs me that cutscenes are mostly anime scenes, the battles themselves are a lot of fun

Hey guys. I havent played a Naruto game since the initial release of S3 on PS3.

How does it compare to the mechanics then?

Also, from my understanding the Deluxe Edition on PS4 comes with the season pass content right? But the next game is not a must purchase expansion but more like a Game of The Year edition including previous content and the beginning of season 2? And that I'd be able to just purchase the new content as DLC for the base game? It's a good price at the moment but I'd hate to buy it and then not be able to get Febuarys new content.

Maybe. I'll be home soon, and if I can stay awake, I might. The stats themselves aren't that crazy strong. They all have 20HP and over 7 Chakra Points apiece. Boruto and Sarada each have unique shurikenjutsu, as well as a combination one. Mitsuki has a less random heal and a temporary Sage Transformation if he's the last member of his team standing. The Exam bosses themselves were harder, though. That being said, no special rules to exploit in this fight. Who knows.

Chakra is controllable and stockable by virtue of jutsu scrolls existing, so it follows that you can find ways to stockpile it in your own body, and since it's generated by your body, you should be able to modify yourself to generate more.

Kishi really fucked up when he introduced genetics and then made Orochimaru's place look like it's out of the 21st century. Ethics aside, modifying humans isn't impossible, and you can be sure Orochimaru wasn't focusing on how to cure genetic diseases.

Summaries. We played for 11 hours, 15 minutes. It was a LONG fucking game. And this'll be a long fucking summary.

So, we start at the dawn of the third day. The four of them woke up relatively early. None of them got a lot of sleep the night before. In their own way, they each prepared for what they knew would be a difficult fight ahead. Waniko thought of Ilya, and her clan, and wondered if the Shimazu worshipped any particular Gods. Fugetsu simply made sure his katana was intact, and hoped his parents didn't give him too much grief. Renya wondered about what the two people from his clan might say. Arata double and triple checked his potions, his medkit, his kusarigama, and his kunai. As they were leaving the hotel, one of the staff came over and held out a letter for Fugetsu. It was from his parents, saying "Fugetsu, We saw you in the Exams. You did very well. We know you'll make Chuunin. - Mom and Dad". This did little more than bug Fugetsu, as he said that if he didn't make Chuunin, he'd never hear the end of it, and that he knew it would happen. Waniko asked if they were that serious, and Arata said that if any of the team made it, it would be Fugetsu, with Waniko agreeing. Fugetsu said that they 'knew he'd make Chuunin', so it wasn't encouragement, as much as acknowledgement.

Fugetsu asked if they were all ready, and after their final checks, headed out to the stadium. On the way, they went over their plan - Fugetsu v Sarada, Arata and Renya v Mitsuki, and Waniko v Boruto. Fugetsu reminded Waniko that Boruto had his Vanishing Rasengan, and to keep him tied up so that he couldn't hit the others while they were distracted. Fugetsu then moved onto Renya and Arata, saying that Waniko would be fighting the hardest this time, if what they heard about Boruto was accurate, and told them to prioritise helping her if they defeat Mitsuki.

Waniko seemed a little worried, saying that they might not know everything about the Sharingan, and what if it looked like Fugetsu was in trouble, especially since she didn't have parents that wouldn't kill her if she didn't make Chuunin. Renya simply asked if Waniko believed in Fugetsu, and Arata said the team might undermine the plan if they keep thinking about 'what ifs'. Fugetsu said that him making Chuunin was more on individual performance anyway, so he'd prefer if they helped against Boruto, so he can show off against Sarada. As they reached the stadium, Renya asked a last question: when should they regroup. Fugetsu said they regroup when there's one opponent left and they're all standing. Until then, they knew what to do.

As they got closer, the roars from the stadium got louder. This time, there's no Jounin waiting for them, and they walk right through to the centre. Most of the other teams are already there, including Boruto's, Shinki's and Shikadai's. They don't talk to anyone, but the other teams look at them with varying degrees of interesting, with Shikadai and Inojin nodding to the team, but Shinki and his team not even acknowledging them, although Shinki's Iron Cloak is moving slowly around his feet. The team doesn't know this, but Shinki is literally just itching for a reason to put Arata in his place. Shortly, the other teams arrive, and Kurotsuchi begins her announcement. She goes on about the usual political guff - how the Exams are to help bring the Villages together, and how even making it this far shows what calibre of ninja are here today.

Finally, she asks the other teams to head to the left up to the observation deck. As Shinki passes, he bumps into Arata. Hard. Kurotsuchi indicates that the team and Boruto's head out to the right, as they need to quickly prepare the stadium for the combat. As they headed down under the stadium to the right, a Jounin splits the two teams up, ushering them to the left, and the other team to the right. After walking for a little way, another attendant placed the four of them on a platform, and asks them to wait. After another few minutes, an alarm blared, and the attendant wished them luck, as the platform began to raise.

As the ground opened up to let the platform through, they looked around. There were several small islands, connected by short concrete bridges, with everything else surrounded by water. As they took their positions, Boruto shouted across the arena, telling them that just because they helped him - well, Arata in particular - doesn't mean he was going to go easy on them. Rolling Initiative, the final result was: Mitsuki, Boruto, Waniko, Sarada, Fugetsu, Renya, and finally Arata. You can see the map here: >>161115060

I'm going to be summarising the rounds rather quickly, I hope. I'm simply going to use M1, B1, W1, etc, to indicate who's turn it is, and what round. Hopefully I won't get bogged down and forget that why. Unfortunately, I think the details will be a little light. Use your imaginations!

M1: Mitsuki simply moved up 30ft, and Readied an Attack Action, in case someone moved into combat range.

B1: Boruto does the same thing, moving past Mitsuki, also Readying an Attack, with the same trigger.

W1: Waniko moved from her starting point, and Readied an Action, preparing Die Alone, to go off in case someone moved into range of the jutsu.

S1: Sarada activated her Sharingan and rushed forward 30ft, before launching into the air and snapping an arm forward, slashing a Fuma clan shuriken down towards Waniko. It hit, barely, but still caused 5 damage.

F1: Fugetsu moved north, away from his team, trying to goad Sarada to follow him. He called her out, saying her opponent was him, and that what better way to prove her worth as the future Hokage than to beat the expected Mizukage. Sarada turned to him, and he got a LITTLE spooked when the Sharingan locked eyes with him, but he ignored it, used the Hiding in the Mist Technique, summoning thick, clogging mist all around Sarada.

R1: Renya also moved up, and decided against making a blind shot at Mitsuki, who was behind the mist that Fugetsu had summoned. Instead, he put his bow away and drew his naginata.

A1: Arata also moved forward, up behind Renya, and attempted a throw at Mitsuki with his kunai and chain. He rolled to select the correct tile, but missed with his actual hit roll, with the kunai whizzing out of the mist towards Mitsuki, who stepped aside, before it was retracted back into the mist.

M2: Mitsuki moved forward across the south centre bridge, triggering Die Alone. He rolled a 2 on his dodge, and so was quickly swallowed up by the smoke sphere. He continued to move forward slowly. Even from within the sphere, he could see Renya, and so launched Hidden Shadow Snake Hands at him, with three snakes erupting from his sleeve and streaking towards Renya. Renya got bitten, taking 3 damage, but passed his CON check, avoiding getting poisoned.

B2: Boruto moved across the far south bridge towards Waniko. As he moved, he prepared a Rasengan, and tossed it at Waniko. It skipped forward, and disappeared. Waniko was at -2 to dodge, and missed both rolls, as it was at a Disadvantage. She copped another 5 damage as the Rasengan invisibly detonated as it impacted her chest, blasting her backwards.

W2: Waniko attempted to use Die Alone on Boruto, but he passed his avoid roll with a 19, meaning he essentially used Eight Trigrams Rotation to deflect the smoke before it could take effect. Waniko, perhaps wisely, decided to flee back north, towards the safety of her teammates.

S2: Sarada dashes out of the mist, using both her Movement and her Action to complete the move. Her eyes widened as she saw both Arata and Renya prepared and waiting for her. There was nothing else she could do at the moment, though.

F2: Fugetsu moved south onto the bridge to engage Sarada. Unfortunately, he rolled a nat 1, so literally nothing happened. Sarada laughed as she stepped back, saying that the team was making it too easy for them.

R2: Renya was sick of Sarada's shit, and used Air Detonation to launch her backwards. He pumped 2 extra CP into it, and as she turned from Fugetsu, he put a hand in her face, launching her 30ft back and causing 8 damage.

A2: Arata spent his turn moving towards Waniko and patching her up, healing her for 2HP. Not that amazing.

M3: Mitsuki, still under the effects of Die Alone, attempts an attack at Renya with his wakizashi. Rolling a 14, he misses, as Renya jumps back just in time to avoid the strike.

B3: Boruto sees Mitsuki fending off both Arata and Renya at the same time on the bridge, and moves north to assist, launching a second Vanishing Rasengan across the 25ft gap to the small centre island. Renya missed both avoidance rolls, and attempted to lock it down with one of his Quick-Release Elemental Sealing scrolls. He whiffed that as well. He didn't lose the scroll, but he did get blown off his feet as the Rasengan made contact with his sternum, taking 4 damage.

W3: Waniko, preferring to continue to allow Arata to heal here, stays where she is, instead throwing out her Living Shadow for five turns, and from there, using it as a sort of extender to launch Genjutsu: Countersight from there. Naruto missed his avoidance, and so found himself trapped in an illusory mirror maze. She then took her Soldier Pill as her Free Action.

S3: Sarada, having landed in the water from Renya's Air Detonation, spends her Movement and her Action trying to get back to the fight, moving a total of 30ft.

F3: Fugetsu, feeling that it would be harder for Sarada to dodge in water, cast Boil Release: Steaming Snake Tornado on the tiles around her. She, however, rolled a nat20, easily seeing the jutsu being formed and ducks underwater, away from the scalding steam.

R3: Renya takes the Soldier Pill first, before using Air Detonation against Mitsuki, dumping an extra CP into it, blasting him back 20ft into the mist and causing a total of 8 damage. He attempted a shuriken at Sarada, but since she was underwater, and he needed two 6s in a row, that didn't pan out at all.

M4: Mitsuki charges back out of the mist again, attacking again with his wakizashi. This time his limbs extend, giving his attack the Reach special rule. Still put off by being launched backwards, he misses again.

B4: Boruto moves north, trying to see what's real. After a moment, he shrugs, and raises his arms over his head, summoning the water orb for the Swirling Spear Jutsu. As his attacks are at a Disadvantage, all his targets got two chances to avoid it. They all manage to pass the roll, so everybody walks away unharmed, apart from Boruto's ego.

W4: Waniko moves past her Living Shadow to position herself south of Boruto. She uses Water Whip Jutsu in an attempt to drain Boruto's chakra, with her Shadow copying the jutsu. Boruto fails both avoidance rolls, getting hit by both whips. He then fails both Chakra rolls, and as a result 2CP are drained from him, boosting Waniko by 1CP.

S4: Sarada manages to drag herself out of the water, looking angry, with the Sharingan fading away. She warned the team against leaving their medic alone, before drawing twin kriss blades and charging Arata. She remained focused, landing a flurry of brutal hits against Arata with her krisses, causing a total of ten damage (two attacks, 9 and 1). Arata Uncanny Dodged the 9, bringing it down to a total of 5 damage received.

F4: Fugetsu repositions to be in between Sarada, Boruto and Mitsuki, before using Swirling Spear. Mitsuki and Sarada dodge to spear, with Boruto getting nailed and taking 8 damage.

R4: Renya used Come and Gone Jutsu to bring both Mitsuki and Boruto in from 10ft away. Renya launches an attack against Mitsuki, causing 6 damage, and then blasts both of them back 15ft, causing 2 more damage to Mitsuki, and 4 to Boruto.

A4: Arata lashes out with his Backup Plan, hitting Sarada and causing 4 damage, but she passed the CON check, avoiding paralysis. He then heals for 5HP before chugging his Simple Chakra Potion for 1CP.

B5: Boruto, sick of this mirror maze bullshit, uses 2CP to summon two Shadow Clones. The bottom one moves to engage Waniko, with the top one moving to engage Arata. The top Clone passes a DEX check, and so can use its action, whereas the bottom one didn't. The top one drew a kunai as he moved, and hit an attack on Arata, causing 2 damage. Countersight fades as Boruto's turn ends.

W5: Waniko has had enough of this shit, and uses Swirling Spear Jutsu. I just realised that I allowed her Shadow to copy this jutsu, when he normally shouldn't have been. My bad. Too late now. Regardless, she only manages to land a single hit on the both clones, so no major loss. She caused 10 damage against the bottom clone, ending it, and 5 against the top clone, stumbling it. She then misses with a shuriken.

S5: Sarada has also had enough of this shit, skipping back and saying that it was time to bring Arata down. Autistically screeching "SHANAROOOOOO", making her mother proud, and Sasuke wince, she activated Chakra Enhanced Strength and moved back into attack with a kriss, causing 5 damage.

F5: Fugetsu moves slightly and launches another Swirling Spear. I fuck up again and allow him to make two attacks each, when I shouldn't have. I blame it on playing for like 10 hours straight at this point. He has two hits, one of which is a crit, against Boruto, one hit against his clone, and two against Sarada. He causes 18 against Boruto, and 17 against Sarada, with the clone popping as Boruto goes down. Even after I halved the damage, it was still enough to knock them both out. There was a collective "OOOOOH" from the crowd, before silence. Fugetsu's snappy one-liner was 'Is taht still making it too easy for you?'

From across the islands, there was a roar. As they team looked over, chakra was exploding out of Mitsuki, in response to seeing his two teammates get dropped. The team, OOC, collectively shit themselves.

R5: Renya chugged his Health Potion for 4HP. He then placed two explosive tags down, passing Sleight of Hand checks, so Mitsuki didn't see where.

A5: Arata, having recovered from getting near murderpunched, used Mystical Palm on himself against, healing for 3HP, before taking his Soldier Pill as his Free Action, healing another 3HP and CP. He then moved south a little way, and prepared himself.

M6: Mitsuki's turn consisted of him moving towards the south bridge, having gained an extra 10ft movement from Partial Sage Transformation.

W6: Waniko moved south, setting tags as she moved, ending 10ft from Mitsuki. She couldn't roll to hide them though, as she was directly in front of him, and on concrete. Having completed it, she swapped places with her Living Shadow as a Free Action, getting out of danger.

F6: Fugetsu moved up, and attempted to use Water Whip on Waniko. He didn't pass the 16+ I made him roll, so he just sits there.

R6: Renya moved up and attempted a similar thing, with Air Pull jutsu. He also whiffed the roll. I think I'm going to make it so you simply cannot target an ally with an offensive jutsu, regardless of your intentions. At least, not at the teamwork level the team is currently at. He then whiffed with a shuriken. Again.

A6: He moved south to support the others, but ended his turn, staying away from the explosive tags.

M7: Mitsuki, chakra pulsing from him, looked at the team, with a little bit of disdain in his eyes, asking if this was their first day being ninja, before simply stepping out onto the water, bypassing all the explosive tags. Moving to Fugetsu, Mitsuki launched two attacks, hitting with both. Fugetsu, however, used his Reaction to turn to water, causing both attacks to miss, and he moved backwards 5ft, out of range, before reforming.

W7: Waniko moves behind Mitsuki and launches an attack, hitting with a roll of 17. With a flash of smoke, Waniko swapped places with her Living Shadow. Without pausing, she vaulted over the glowing Mitsuki. Time seemed so slow, as Mitsuki looked up, locking eyes with Waniko. She spun in midair, cutting towards Mitsuki. The chakra cloak surrounding him absorbed the blow, flaring at the strike of the warglaive. Spinning again, she landed two cuts in a cross against Mitsuki's back. As he turned, she twirled the warglaive once more, slamming the flat of one of the blades again Mitsuki's head, launching him sideways. She caused 22 damage, bringing him down to -3, knocking him unconscious, and as the chakra cloak faded, ended the fight.

There was silence, apart from the team's heavy breathing. They looked around the stadium; there wasn't not a single sound. They looked at the monitors. Boruto's, Sarada's and Mitsuki's pictures were crossed out. They looked back at the crowd. They looked back at the monitors. Still crossed out. Then, as if a spell had broken, the crowd erupted. Louder than they'd ever heard it. Louder than anything they'd ever heard in their lives. It just continued, unbroken, as they all slowly turned in circles. They looked up at the timer. Five minutes, six seconds.

Tenten has used Chinese weaponry before, and several of her weapons don't seem slightly Asian, such as massive warhammers or spiked flails. I don't know shit about ancient Japanese weaponry, but this is a show about magic ninja wizards, and as such, I ain't gotta explain shit. Renya picked up a Chinese Jian blade from Tenten ages back.

Also, I like how the kriss looks, and I think it suits Sarada. I was going to go with twin shivs, but the image in my head fitted krisses more than, you know, prison toothbrushes filed into knives.

Renya and Waniko slowly clean up the explosive tags they had set, with Arata, Fugetsu and Renya all piling praise onto Waniko, Renya giving headpats, Fugetsu saying he knew she had it in her, and Arata saying it was amazing. Fugetsu agreed, saying the crowd all might as well pack up and head home now, since they weren't gonna see anything like that again. Medical ninja made their way over to the wounded Genin, as Fugetsu also thanked his team, saying that it was they who made it happen, not him. Arata told him not to sell himself short, and that they did it as a team. Fugetsu disagreed, saying his plan fell through almost immediately, and that he can't exactly take a whole lot of credit for the win.

Waniko still disagreed with Fugetsu, saying that they all worked together really well, and that they didn't really need a plan, because he made them all feel prepared. Fugetsu simply said they all adapted and pulled through, and that he didn't mind having such competent teammates, as it made things a lot easier, before giving a rare, shark-tooth-filled grin. Renya chuckled, saying he wouldn't mind working with Fugetsu when he became Mizukage, but they should pack up and get going. Fugetsu agreed, saying that had all the time in the world to let their victory set in.

Before they could leave the arena, however, a shout went up from the crowd. As the team looked up, they could see several Jounin running after a figure, who was sprinting through the crowds, down towards the railing. Hopping the railing, and outrunning the Jounin, Tenten dropped to the ground and ran over to the team, practically crying and enveloping the entire team in a massive, rib-crushing hug, screaming "YOU WON! WE WON! I WON! YOU WON! I LOVE YOU GUYS!". Extricating himself, Renya looked away slightly, a little embarrassed that his sensei's sealing techs didn't get the attention he thought they deserved. Arata asked how much Tenten won, and she replied, still mostly shouting, that she had bet four thousand Ryo at forty-to-one odds, and she had just walked away with a hundred and sixty thousand Ryo, saying that she knew they could do it. Waniko said she guessed that when gambling, it doesn't pay to quit when you're ahead, to which Tenten replied not if you're betting on 'absolute champions'.

Renya, however, was a bit upset at the odds they had been given, but Arata simply said who cares, since they won. They Jounin had nearly reached Tenten, who glanced over her shoulder and said she needed to got, saying that they'd meet up again in Konohagakure, before running away, still cackling with glee. As Tenten left the arena, Kurotsuchi spoke over the loudspeaker again, officially declaring the team the winners of the bout. Several medical ninja come over, and move you off the field. Fugetsu forgot he was nearly dying of dehydration from the Hozuki Hiden technique, and started sucking down water.

The team was taking to a small room, where several doctors looked over their injuries, bandaging them up and patching the various wounds they had received. They were a little surprised at the level of Arata's Mystical Palm Technique.

After they had been there for several minutes, the door opened again, admitting Ilya, Kakashi, Mitsurugi, Naruto, Hinata, Sasuke and Sakura, the latter four of which headed over to where Boruto and his team were laying. Ilya almost immediately tackled Waniko with a hug, saying that her little cousin had been amazing. Waniko was bashful, saying she still couldn't believe she had pulled it off. Mitsurugi chuckled slightly, saying that Sasuke looked like he had been about to put a hole in the concrete when his precious little girl got dropped. He turned to Fugetsu and told him that it wasn't bad, referring to him as 'Kirigakure'. Fugetsu replied that he was simply in the right place at the right time, with Sarada making a fool of him when they were face to face. Mitsurugi said he was simply downplaying his achievement.

Kakashi nodded, saying that they were all part of a whole, and, glancing over to the other team, said that their team came out on top, and it was that simple. Fugetsu agreed, although he said that it couldn't have looked that impressive to the crowd when a team of four defeats a team of three, and he hoped the fight was flashy enough to make up for it. Mitsurugi, picking up on what he believed the Kiri ninja was saying, said that he was sure 'those watching it were impressed with his performance', and that he 'lived up to their expectations'. Arata asked if Fugetsu even heard the crowd, and Fugetsu said with a slight laugh that he was still hearing them. Waniko agreed, saying that if they weren't happy with him for that, she didn't think they'd ever be satisfied.

Arata asked who was up next. Mitsurugi smirked and said that it was Team Shinki, before glancing at Arata and said that it was a team they seemed to be rather familiar with. Arata simply said he was glad they got to follow after the match they just had.

We left it there, with the game continuing tomorrow.

The only reason she didn't get her STR mod with that attack was because it was an off-hand attack, calm down. Normally it would've been d6+6 damage, which had a chance to OHKO the entire team. Hell, normally she would've been able to make two attacks, one at d6+6 and another at d6 damage, which would've destroyed most of the team.

As I said, I simply felt twin krisses fitted Sarada's character better. Boruto also had a specialist blade that Sasuke gave to him, but he didn't get to use it.

It doesn't really matter, though - the STR mod would be the same regardless of the weapon, and if she used some sort of fuckhueg warhammer or mace, it'd mean she could likely ONLY use it while using Chakra Enhanced Strength. With the krisses, she could still use them effectively without extra strength.
