Yeah, that that thing I said about never being able to kill a snowballing mordekaiser can also be said about any decent character to some extent.
CC and range are tools which will prevent the enemy from fighting back when played around. They accomplish a similar thing to morde's passive.

Mordekaiser's passive is always in effect, without windows to play around it. The response it just CC him and kite him so he doesn't do damage and doesn't build shield.

You are right that the only people Morde can fight are melees. The ranged fights are not favorable at all. But when mordekaiser has a team to support him, such as CCing the enemy he becomes seriously untouchable.

I think this is one of the things riot were trying to do with his rework. Make him be be as worthwhile as an ADC to invest gold and supports into.

After the new lore updates, I'm really looking forward to what they In store for her. It's now going to become clear that that she isn't just some "lelrandumb crazi" girl who is blowing shit up for the hell of it. Rather her so-called manic-psychotic episodes and actions are probably going to be acts of revenge against Piltover and their corruption. It wouldn't surprise me if she underwent series of truamatizing events that made her unhinged and hateful against the system, kind of like Zed.

So basically she's going to become a terrorist with a twisted sense of justice. It makes sense why she specially tries to make Vi's life a living hell too, now that it's confirmed that she, Ekko and Vi are all from the same gang. Like Ekko, she probably feels deeply betrayed and sees her as a sellout now. So she gets back at her with criminal mind games.

Also, the fact that she built her own guns, had close relationships with Ekko (a prodigy) and a great inventor (Vi) and is able to avoid getting consistently caught from professionals like Jayce, Vi, Caitlyn and now Camille, implies that she possesses extremely high intelligence which is masked by her non-serious personality.
