I have a BL54 Executioner that I use to invade and coop in Cainhurst and it is just a riot. 25/25 str/arc, full nourishing gem setup. Get a surprising amount of activity depending on the time of day, usually around three or four in the afternoon.

I highly recommend you pick up Radiance and fight the good fight, it's a ton of fun.

Cainhurst nobles are distantly descended from Pthumerians and may or may not have been the ruling monarchy of Yharnam and surrounding areas pre-healing church.

Someone from Byrgenwerth took a sample of special blood back to Cainhurst and they used it to do thier own stuff to make themselves stronger and Analise immortal. She also become obsessed with birthing a child of Blood for Oedon, like Yharnam did (or failed to do) Millenia earlier.

Church hates them because they have different beliefs and use blood in a different way. However it might also be political reasons trying to discredit and later destroy the existing ruling class so the Church can become the closest thing to a government in Yharnam.

No they're not? They're actual real-world locations within the waking world? Pthumeru is beneath Byrgenwerth. Loran is elsewhere, but also in the real world, as are the Hinterlands. Isz is much, much deeper into the Labyrinth. Descriptions of items relating to the Chalice dungeons state pretty plainly that they're in the waking world.

Being Quality means it can be used effectively for Strength and/or Skill builds, so it's worth using while pumping Skill. BB Pellets + Fire Paper on the Cane or Saw Spear is enough to kill Amelia, your weapon should be at +6. NS: 40/8/10/50/50/9 puts you at 117 if you're going full Skl/Blt. Lone Survivor would've been a better option, or Military Veteran if you wanted to use the Bloodletter.

Saws have the highest DPS, LHB highest AR but it's pretty slow and the untricked mode has shitty modifiers. With +30% Blunt gems and 50/50 it'll 2-shot most players.

At least Brainsuckers are a bit threatening, Loran Silver beast is a trash mob from the nightmare frontier who's almost impossible not to parry. Same with just sticking 3 Watchers in a room and incorrectly labelling the Chieftan (it's meant to be the one with the mask).

One would think he represents the Vilebloods and in the same breath the Queen only recognizes you as the only Vileblood serving her.
Him having the old hunter's bone would suggest he raided Maria's grave at some point.
The crowfeather garb would hint at some prior history with the Hunter of Hunters.

Either reroll or disregard Str/Skl requirements and keep pumping Arc past 50. I wouldn't recommend sub-40 Vit but if you want really high Arc 30 Vit or lower is probably your best bet. Weapons don't scale as well as Tools past 50 so I doubt the L2 would be affected significantly.

Typically, although 25-skill hybrids kind of suck. Better to try for 40-4 Skill.

You don't have a weapon that scales off both Skill and Arcane. Burial Blade and BoM don't count because they gain almost nothing from their Arcane scaling due to the pitiful base damage.
Best thing really is to just meet the minimum requirements for the Skill weapon you want to use, and then convert it to Arcane with gems.

I did a 44/44 skl/arc so I could use tools but also use Beast Blood Pellets and Paper. That's about the only reason to incorporate phys stats that I can think of.

If 44/44 skl/arc works, there's no reason 44/44 str/arc couldn't work, but 25/50 str/arc is probably better in most cases.

I got a ps4 last week and of course the first game I got was bloodborne, been playing on an off since I work in shifts. Was having a blast and enjoying the game alot.... then came ludwig.

After more than an hour fighting agaisnt him and defeating him I emerged a new man from that corpse pile.... can this shit be topped? The phase transition, the soundtrack, his attack animations.

I like the idea of Chalice Dungeons, (the idea of a mystery dungeon Souls game sounds fantastic on paper) but the problem I have with BB's is that they're just slightly too formulaic far too much of of the time, and the areas look too similar (Isz looks too much like Pthumeru, and Hintertomb is mostly identical to Pthumeru, so you basically choose from Pthumeru or Loran for purposes of scenery), and, my same problem with BBI (although BBI was better about it) is that it's too goddamn claustrophobic.

If there were outdoorsy areas (like if they'd used assets from Forbidden Woods for a kind of "never-ending forest"-type chalice dungeon) that would have made so much of the difference.

I've been saying since release that the Pthumerian Labyrinth was far too important of a location to be abstractly portrayed through procedurally generated dungeons. It should have been a actually designed area(s) that physically connected to various points in Yharnam (Byrgenwerth hatch, a tunnel behind Eribritas, maybe even a small part accessible after BSB to open up the game). Chalice dungeons are filled with so many unique enemies and it's a terrible shame none of them were ever put into actually designed levels.

The area before Queen Yharnam is the same generic tunnels and rooms as Depth 1, filled with shitty trash mobs and Pthumerian peasants, when it should have been elaborate and grand architecture and a gauntlet of the most elite enemies guarding thier queen. I'm talking several Chalice Knights of each type standing as if they were actually guarding the Queen, not just placed in front of levers or chests, maybe even a roaming Hotdog patrolling the outside. Or whatever lore significant stuff From thought would be best. We should have also seen actual placed evidence of expiditions, not just plonking some random Church hunters as enemies around the place.

Instead of randomly generated dungeons, it should have been "nightmares". Where you fill a chalice with ritual materials and get transported to a mini nightmare area filled with reused assets and a different layout each time.

Underground labyrinth should have been one template (exact same as current dungeons), Yharnam streets should have been another, where reused city assets make a street level area, doesn't matter if it makes no sense architecturally because it's a nightmare. Another could be forest areas, same deal. And finally reused assets from Nightmare frontier to make weird floaty rocks connected by roots type areas. Each area has different enemies (nothing unique because that means wasted content that should be in main game) and different types of gems and rewards.

Plus give more control over dungeon content, instead of having 5 depths of Chalice's, depth should have been chosen by what type of ritual blood you used. Instead of preset lists of material, each ingredient should have done something and changed rewards in some way.

EG Ritual Blood 5 makes the dungeon max difficulty, adding a Bastard of Loran curses it, adding a Bloodshot Eyeball spawns Witches but increase item discovery for all players by 100, Yellow Baxkbone spawns something else but also makes offshapes 3x as likely, Arcane Haze makes Bellringers summon PVP players.

Get creative and make it fun to think up new "recipes" and don't canabilise the main game. Dungeons could have been great.

The Unseen Village is the base for the School of Mensis. Long ago, they beckoned a blood moon to try to ascend and become great ones, much like Rom did. They beckoned Mergo and the first Blood Moon, and the ritual resulted in the stillbirth of their brains and subsequent entrapment in the Nightmare of Mensis.

The Blood Moon they summoned caused a hunt much like the one in the main game, and the result was Old Yharnam being torched and abandoned for the beasts.

In the main game, the remainder of the School of Mensis is trying to beckon another Blood Moon in a rescue attempt to free the original members from the nightmare.
