I have both. They each have exclusives worth playing. For me it's mainly just Bloodborne for PS4 with Gravity Rush 2, The Last Guardian and maybe Nioh upcoming. With all sorts on the Vita including stand outs like Killzone Mercenary, Persona 4 Golden/Dancing All Night, Freedom Wars, Tearaway, Wipeout 2048, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines, arguably the best versions of Lumines and Little Big Planet. Really too many to list already released and upcoming. I you can afford to then I would recommend getting both.

I've already mentioned this on ps4g: Japanese devs are looking at Steam as a cheap fallback when sales don't match their projected expectations. Some devs are starting to learn that not all Steam users jump on everything they throw at them, while porting still costs money. As more and more devs port their shit to Steam, competition becomes tougher. Once bringing games to Steam becomes a net loss, they'll stop doing it.

So havent played an atelier game since iris in the mid 2000s. In prep for firis, i want to play at least one of the newer titles. Should i just play sophie, or is one of the earlier titles better? You cant swing your staff among other bugs.
There's game specific bugs too like Ayesha freezing in the middle of the game and refusing to advance.
Escha literally will not work if you dont use a specific 1.0 dump and manually undub it because it refuses to load DLC like all the other atelier games.

There's other bugs and problems but there's a lot of bizarre errors when you step in the realm of atelier for some reason.

Demon Gaze stuff, just had to upgrade my paladin to have better defence and this second Lulu fight was way easier. That was fun, actually having some problems made it even better. Though the fight where I defeated her wasn't anything special after that.

There's a guide on vitageneral.com regarding which artifacts are worth getting and how many artifact gems there are, etc. I'd read it just so you know how many artifact gems you can afford to throw around.

You can get like 30 or something Artifacts but what skills you get are dependent on where you use them. There are some low ranked skills that you can get in the beginning and mid game that you'll use until the post game.
Just be sure NOT to use the Increase 1/2 and the other "rare" gems unless you know what you're doing.
