Yeah, I also go the Day One route with all the games I find interesting, but I had to skip the first Cold Steel because of money problems, and man, do I regret it. It's been almost a year now and if there has ever been a good sale price for it, I've missed it. It's so much better to buy the game right away when it comes out just so a) you will support the publisher the best way that way and b) you get the game right away so you can get to play it and c) you don't have to wait for some sale that might never even happen. Here's hoping.

Yup. I got both Cold Steels just waiting, it didn't even matter to me that the EU release was way later than the NA release because I haven't even played the first one yet. Niche products do need the support and ~40€ isn't that much anyway to support things I know I'll like. But things I'm uncertain about, that is sale stuff.

Weird that for Shallie+ the NA store has that availability stock meter and the EU one doesn't. Well, I would imagine that the EU one sells less anyway so maybe they just make as many as there's orders. Though if that's the case why not make the same thing with the NA one? Who knows.

I'm not saying MK is bad, but MK is closer to standard JRPG. I really fell in love with Atelier starting from Arland because it was different from standard JRPG and focused more on smaller, slice-of-life-ish characters, and also requires me to actually think. If they went back to Iris/MK style then that means the series lost some of things that made me fall in love with it in the first place.

That said, Firis took a middle ground approach to that which I personally like, but because of that I'm not really sure how it will be received by both sides here. I just hope Steam release doesn't make it casualized again like Dusk.
