I haven't played this fucking game since 2013 and jumped back in a couple days ago, literally not knowing anything about it.Wasn't even aware that this game still had a running general.

The set is pretty fucking fun since I can just mow down everything in overkill and still compete on mayhem with a competent team, although it's propably not min/maxed to the extreme.
Sure sucks that so many fun guns are restricted via DLC, but I'm still glad that I got some of them for free.

Devs can issue items at will with their Steam dev tools. We have a 1 week timer limit because that's what they scripted it as.

So if you have a game that shits out a few hundred items an hour, Valve will probably get annoyed at you but ultimately won't care unless it brings down their cloud network.

Nah, the workshop winners already got/sold their skins on day 1.

This is definitely not that.

The reason it's only the community skins and the COPs is probably because they're the only item sets programmed to be given out to people. So whoever's doing it just changed the parameters of valid drop targets to "EVERYONE" instead of "just these guys".
