I main brm and I can tell you we're fine if we have OP healers carrying us. We're pretty garbage to heal, we take SO MUCH DAMAGE that any on par healer is going to struggle immensely keeping us topped off.

BRM is just too different. Healers don't understand you can't top off a brm and attempting to do so will cause you to go oom. There shouldn't be a strategy guide required for every healer to learn how to heal us. BRM tanks completely change how you use your cooldowns, how you use hots, when to know the brm is actually in trouble (they can't see our orbs so won't know we actually have a lay on hands ready to go), and they don't understand how stagger works at all.

In many ways brm is a fun class to play to be a special snowflake but it's a bad class for everyone else in your group desu.

What is the fastest way to level a new character without buying a capped one?

I heard something about xp pots. The classes I have at 90+ are all boring.

All right I legitimately haven't played WoW in a billion years, or rather not since burning crusade first came out.

The urge has overtaken me recently to play some again but I'm curious what the game has been up to in my absence (other than a pile of expansions). Have there been any big changes to the way the game is set up? I hear nobody but rangers can equip ranged weapons anymore, which seems like kind of a huge deal to me (but maybe it isn't I mean it was cool to pull with a gun but surely its fine to do that shit another way). Can you still dick around with a bunch of different weapons with most classes?

Is the game dead? I mean it's got a general but that doesn't always mean anything.

If I don't feel like getting all of the expansions would I just be wasting my time getting back? Or can fun still be had without them?

I think every class has a ranged ability now, even a shitty one, to help pull or attack from a distance. But Rogues (and maybe some other classes, not sure) can still equip guns if you're into roleplaying or some shit. It'll be pretty useless though.

Not so much in Legion, each spec has its own artifact - a special weapon you keep the entire expansion.

The base game includes every expansion besides the current one, Legion. It's real cheap too I think.

Monks are mobile and have been since release. Coming from a monk main... Monks are not broken in PvP.

WW monks can be destroyed if you shut him down before he reaches your healers and popping his bursts at him. I don't think they are broken at all... you aren't getting out of cc enough and if you kite the monk = a dead WW monk. they are not broken at all! I have seen some people in groups shut down the WW monk before he reaches.

MW monks... you cant be serious. Slowing MW monk and stunning (Interupting the cast of Soothing mists) will kill the MW monk..

Monks do have a lot of tools but they are not Overpowered and most of them are there to kill pick you off and they have a small radius and Mobility can be Denied if you have a Warrior that has a charge, DK with death grip. Warrior charge or Death grip is simple to use and will stop a monk from escaping or trying to kill your back line.

I remember in vanilla WoW that races mattered very slightly but that they did have a minor impact in a few ares. However a lot of games since WoW have went the route of having races make no difference. Did WoW keep racial bonuses (even if they were kind of minor)?

How do we compete with these big-dick Druids? They're so powerful and dominant, my prot warrior can barely get a raid invite! Tanks for the 5 M Helya kills:

So I decided to pick up my DK again and level her up. Part of the motivation for that was to play as a tank, to help with the shortage and help groups get going. For the last couple weeks or so I've leveled to 110, did the WQs, class campaign and such, and so far she's at a respectable 835. Figure that'd be enough to get that mythic tanking going, right?

...Except, I'm having trouble bringing myself to click that button to start the group. I just end up feeling nervous and finding something else to distract myself with instead. I want to do them, I want to get geared further and get these quests done (particularly with EoA, got about four quests there right now), I just have a hard time bringing myself to do it. I haven't tanked seriously in a very long time as a DK, my DK is currently guildless, and doesn't have very many friends as it is, let alone ones I can count on for mythic dungeons.

My fear is that, once I put together these completely random groups, people I invite will sniff out my weakness and tear me apart for it.

Anyone else gone through what I am currently going through and might have some advice to help with it?

Just found out for the 40 black barracude fishing WQ that the pools respawns infinitely as long as you don't loot the albino ones.

You can fish for barracuda nonstop.

If you get all 8 you can no longer see the pools though.

Yeah. They expect you to DOT mobs with sunfire AND moonfire so that already wastes so many global cds with moonfire. They then expect you to build up 60 AP for starfall (which has shitty damage for an AOE). And when you finally use starfall, the 8 secs that's supposed to buff your DOTS is actually reduced by haste which is the best stat for moonkins.

Haste makes starfall tick faster but also ends sooner. This is unlike your DOTS which retain the same duration but tick faster with haste so it does more damage overall. The problem is, people say this is intended which is pretty shitty so the thing people are hoping for is to make starfall cheaper because it's garbage right now at 60 AP.

People gave up on that when they saw the new moonkin legendary. It lets you moonfire 2 (TWO) enemies per cast instead of one. It also has mastery which is a shitty stat for us. The devs' idea for what's good for a class is so out of line with the player base. Hopefully, the next batch of PTR notes brings good news.

I got a hunter alt I like to play very much, 857ilvl and I haven't been raiding with her once. I don't even bother to start any order hall quests for EN or mythic dungeons.

What I do to avoid those feels you've spoken of is that I look for groups that are missing only one or two dps. Sure I get declined a whole lot, but once in a while I get an invite and never once had one bad word thrown at me, even when sidewinders fucked up once again and pulled some more trash. I say "sorry guys, honest mistake, will do better this time!" and people sometimes even joke about it.
835 is an high enough ilvl to tank no-keystone mythics, as long as you know how to pull the tash and pop cooldowns when needed and know how to interpret DBM or BigWigs, there won't be that many problems.

Tl;dr: look for already established groups, so there's less pressure on you. Get more comfortable with random players first.

Guardian's in a very good place if they don't nerf it. It's also pretty hard to get a bad legendary as a guardian because most of them are good. Prydaz is hilarious with the upcoming buff. The shield stacks with Mastery and Versatility which is the best stats for guardian. Guardian mastery also increases max health so shield double dips with mastery. 1.5 - 2 milllion absorb shields every 30 secs.

Literally only Guardian and Prot War. Paladin is the most spiky shit ever. Veng is overdesigned and a poor tank, brew takes more damage than any other tank and has to be played at the top 1% to even match the easy mode fellow tanks.
