Shit sucking calls and wood delivery happens only during day time.
In 2 am you can get call from a drunk guy at the pub, it can interrupt your sleep btw.
Mechanic can call you after 6 am, if you not saved the game during repair time, your car would be ready at 6 am on the next day, that call doesn't really matter.
All this shit reset after reload and they starting to call again if available.
Thunder can fuck up calls too. Obviously you don't pick up the phone during that, but even after thunder you can still get those calls that rings just once. You can pick up the phone, it will do the BANG thing, but it's not going to kill you and the real calls can start happening again. I think it's just easier and safer to reload.

Sorta yes, the default settings expect a wheel, so expect to adjust everything. You will want a dead zone and I personally hate the high speed turning adjustment. Use an external program (xpadder) to map look (mouse movement) to the right stick. You can drive without it, but you will have to use your mouse to look around. I also made R3 left click and L3 right click. D-pad Up is range, right/left are lights/wipers, and down is middle finger. I made the start button enter. I was able to win the rally after I got it sorted, but the default support is only like half there.
