Himawari is releasing 2 weeks after that.

So, logically, Rance is likely to release 2 weeks after Himawari at Dec 23.

A yuri (nukige? Maybe moege fits better.), a plotge, and an HRPG have very little overlap. I'd say the yuri game and Rance have more overlap than either has with Himawari.

Rance might even come out the week after Himawari, but that's probably too optimistic.

I'll preorder the shit out of Rance VI, I want them to put it on sale now.

By the way is Rance 5D any good? the RNG gameplay doesn't look good very good, I feel that everyone is gonna jump to VI and ignore 5D

Our current kit is this one based on Rance's home clothes in IX.

Currently there is work on making a home kit based on Rance's KR armour, an away kit based on Leazas Red Army uniform and a GK kit based on Patton

Preorders could open as soon as Friday after their yuri title goes on sale, as they typically put one title up for preorder as another is released. Although it could be a week or two after Friday depending on the exact release date and what else they have up for preorder with third party titles. And potentially all the girls might have 3D stuff based on CM3D2. We did however get lucky with Shizuka in that some jap already made a 3D version of her hat.

Sengoku often confuses me in that regard. I understand why as a whole the game is fun, but the combat system is what bothers me.

Here's an experiment. Open up SR, enter a battle and turn your sound and combat animations off. Upon doing this, the game will magically start sucking. The audio is so well synced to the combat that some of the flaws of the combat system seem to fly right over you.

I suppose that they're nice on low difficulties but beyond that they're crippled by their own biggest strength - the fact that they regularly hit the damage cap. Before you know it, your musket units will only become usable if you sink all of your money into increasing their troop sizes. To put it simply, a 4k musket until really looks silly in front of an enemy 5k warrior unit.

In fact, even on low difficulties they've got their issues. I'd rather get Kenshin to something like 1500 troops and have her single-handedly take down half the enemy force than get a musket to 750 and have it one-shot one unit and then be useless for the rest of the battle.

I'd argue that's false. A shit musket kills 400 enemy troops and dies when the enemy gets the slightest bit of luck (Monks, hit-alls, luck on the Guard %, etc) while a shit diviner can still Guard Shiki your footsoldiers (or even be upgraded and All-Guard Shiki), which often saves lives, even on low difficulties where you're spamming All-Guard, and all of this is ignoring how good a shit diviner can still be in dungeons/boss fights (if those matter to you).

Well Rance VI is coming out soon and I'm going to buy it.

I do want to support the release but I also don't want anyone here who can't afford the release to have to wait even longer.

Haruka had about 1k sales in its opening week, and that was with payment processing issues. I think usually speaking, a game needs 2k sales for MG to consider a physical. Said physical will probably be announced at one of the smaller conventions with the latest one being Anime Central (May 19-21, 2017).

By the way, while a game doesn't have to get a physical for MG to consider localizing more titles from the same company, a physical does mean that getting more from the same company is almost certain.

I had two dumb ideas today and I wanted to know all the holes in one of them.

My first idea is that if Rance's biological parents made an appearance at any point in the series, I'd be under the impression that Rance's father would be Fletcher.

As we all know, Fletcher was once considered one of the strongest men on the continent, however, after being accepted into Helman high society, he became very lazy and arrogant, not practicing his art and quickly lost his levels. Even after becoming weak and fat, he was still lazy and didn't train since he had it all. Which other character do we know who gains a lot of power quickly only to also lose it quickly and is so lazy that between games, he frequently drops down to level 10? Additionally, in Rance Quest, we see at the beginning that Copandon starts to fall out of love with Rance because all he does all day is screw and sleep. Biologically speaking, his character would make sense with this line of thought because genetically, we inherit about 70% of our personality from our genetic parents; we're more similar in behaviour to our biological parents than to a randomly selected adoptive parent.

My final reason for thinking this might be true is that Fletcher is bald, who else is shown to become bald when he grows old? It's Rance. Once again, male pattern baldness is a genetic trait often passed on from generation to generation.
