Nah man it's fine. It has a nice balance of destruction, and no choke points forced by map design. Neither side has too much of an advantage.

There's only one really awful room for defenders too, but it seems like the entire point of the map is to make fortified rooms around the main objective room and then shoot into it.

It's not like Yatcht that has an inherent advantage for defenders, or favela which favors attackers. It doesn't have complete bullshit sight lines like house either.

Only blackbeard can break the map too due to the way the railings and windows work with rappelling.

Skyscraper is like Bank or Consulate, in the way that there's tons of entrances by window or door, but virtually no wall/ceiling entrances. Oh wait, Bank and Consulate both have lower entrances, ceiling entrances, and tons of space. Skyscraper is fucking cramped but happens to be massive at the same time. Worst of the DLC maps by far. You really need a solid team with you that you can communicate without saying a word.

I can feel safe playing with my 5stack, because everyone knows what they are supposed to do even when shit gets chaotic. We all watch our own angles without anyone telling us to, we always cover eatchothers asses because it's obvious.

Sure they're diamonds but they did that back in their plat days.

And now when I play with some r6g stack of golds/plats I always instantly die because there's none of that veteran magic where people drone/watch eatchothers asses and cover their own angles. Even when they appear to be doing that they're not really.
Instead there's a lot of fingerpointing.

Depends really, echo seems pretty good but I personally don't like 1 speed 3 armor operators that much so I'm probably gonna go for Hibana. Cap even though he is 3 speed, just doesn't feel that fast.

How many hours in will I start getting good? I don't really mind having a shit k/d ratio, I'm happy with going 3/3 or some shit like that, I'm mostly interested in learning the maps and positioning myself well. Well i've got 161h04m and i'm beginning to get moderately ok, my aim is terribad though.

Do plenty of T-hunt to learn maps, train yourself to snap onto heads instead of going for bodyshots.

Also prioritize cameras > enemy gadgets > enemy players with twitch drone, but only zap people if you think you can get away with it. Having a moveable camera available to use is still more useful than dealing 10 damage to someone who will probably die to a single headshot anyway.

So how good is Echo for high-level play?
I feel like he's really good for ambushing people as they enter a room. Just sit on the other side of a penetrable wall, stun them, then switch back and shoot them with either your bretty good shotgun or your godlike SMG.

It doesn't matter that your game is running above your monitor's refresh rate, because for your eyes, it's already locked at 60. You physically won't be able to see more than that if that's your monitor's update frequency.

So with both vsync on and off you're playing at 60fps. Only difference is with vsync you're getting input lag and the possibility of stupid framedrops at key moments, when with vsync off you have zero input lag, and very slight screen tearing that you don't even notice while playing

There's a reason why pretty much any competitive player in any game ever plays with vsync off
