since pretty much nothing has changed between 1.10 and 1.11 you can probably expect a lot of modders to jump ship as far as updates go.

my advice is to wait until the majority of good mods have 1.11 versions out if you want to use 1.11.

I'm only doing it right now because i'm a fucking masochist who likes using beta version of forge and not being able to play until a mod updates.

In my experience direwolf 1.10 pack was actually quite fast

The default 3+1 rows are built into every machine's GUI texture. Material Energy NC had an "inventory is 2 rows taller" mod, but you had to keep manually swapping items into the usable area. It was removed for being buggy in other ways, too.

I'm using my own 1.10.2 modpack with 100+ mods and my ram usage is in the 5-8 gig region. Actually, that said, I don't imagine you could run it considering the OS NEEDS some ram to not go fuckmode.

Ichun seems like the kind of guy who goes "his could be neat/funny in mc" and just does it, but not to the scale of someone like tema, who basically trashheaps all his minor ideas into 1 huge mod everyone needs because they like that one feature.

I'd say ichun is pretty alright. None of his mods are super standout to me, even portal gun was a "meh" mod to me that seems to have only thrived in it's time due to being the only thing to supply it's form of usability (nobody uses it nowadays when there's more stable teleportation/block moving options), but I respect what he does.

If you have twilight forest, you will need admin commands toolbox to pregenerate it. Else you will get a fuckload of lag.

Ass magica is pretty buggy, it was a bad port, just beware.

Not that I'm aware of, the default hotkeys are like M, C, X and Z, and I haven't changed those, but none of them turn the map back on. Everything else still works though.

You'll have to use NEI/JEI. The identities of the metadata values aren't visible to MCEdit since they aren't stored in the save file. So it knows that block ID such-and-such is chisel:factoryblock, but it doesn't know that chisel:factoryblock:6 is the yellow hazard stripes.

The enable transmutation crash has been documented for a while. It's technically a bug with TC but WG is still introducing a situation that causes a crash. I don't know why blu doesn't leave it off by default, it would save him time reading crash reports.

AE1 definitely, it was just shove things into a box and forget about it.
AE2 not as much, there is some logistics to it.
A Logistics pipes system is more fun than crafting stuff by hand, especially if it involves microcrafting.

i've been interested in trying logistics pipes because other mods make autocrafting too easy. do logistics pipes allow you to autocraft stuff that requires machines from random mods like EIO, TE, Mekanism, etc.?

also a bonus feature would be a system capable of automatically stockpiling certain items like iron, such that if you take iron out of the system it will automatically make more.
