You get fame points for doing side stuff and good and true end has certain requirements. You can miss the bad and good ends if your fame is too high, so one way is to get the bad end then raise your fame to get the other two. It's quite natural to get the true end if you do the obvious side quests.

You might also want to know that there are trophies for using each character for like ~4 to 5 hours (i.e. controlling them). You can get those kinda naturally if you don't restict to only some members.

Sounds like a good deal, at least from what I've played GE2RB it has been a great game with lots of variety with enemies. While I see your point, I don't think it would work with Toukiden. You'll understand when you play it. You see, when you equip Mitama with specific skills you want a specific build, something that most of the time only works with a weapon in mind, unlike FW for instance where the skills are basically attached to each weapon.
