Like everyone else they use plate carries and MOLLE gear for modularity. These guys are SFG, not SAS, but it's a good representation of what SAS would wear for a "black kit" operation. Nobody really wears all black these days, so they might wear a black flight suit during CT operations, but they would just wear their regular plate carriers and helmets. Which is really common for European Counterterro units these days.

I don't come here often so I don't know if this has been discussed, but I sat down and actually thought of ways to buff Tachanka.
His bio says he's an old guy and prefers older weapons.
You could easily replace his weapon with an RPD or RPK, with either of these it fits his "gadget" and bio.
With an LMG/Automatic rifle I feel like he would definitely be decent pick, not a must pick, but not utterly pointless.
With an RPD you have a slow reloading belt feld LMG that can't take any attachments and slow fire rate.
With an RPK you have a faster reloading automatic rifle so I feel like 30/45 round magazines would be more balanced but 75 round drums do exist. Realistically the RPK has even lower fire rate but for balance you could adjust either.
Tactically I feel like he'd be a good Blackbeard counter, being able to destroy his shield easily when peeking and this way he's still a "turret" in that he turtles up in the obj but isn't confined to a single location due to his "gadget".

Yes, the enemy can see the laser pointers. And you can't switch them off like you can in battlefield, for some dumb reason.
The only thing it does is tighten the hipfire spray pattern.
The reason you only use it on shotguns and shield pistols is because
a) If you're a shield, they're already well aware of where you are because you are loud as fuck, and you need any help you can get to your hipfire
b) If you're a shotgun user, you can learn how to effectively hide the laser pointer and still be able to hip fire down enemies in close quarters, therefore negating the only disadvantage the laser has.
