This was true for about 2 weeks, Fedimian-kun. Then Kim-kun butchered them with PVP-specific nerfs. PD1 is terrible and PD2 is a niche for disenchant that loses all offensive potential the moment you hit about 2.5k mdef.

You're right about PD1 but you're incredibly wrong about PD2. That's 9 points to extend your bloodletting time by 18 seconds on a build that can already take Oracle. When R9 comes out and PD2's offensive capabilities are rendered irrelevant then yeah, but if you're not taking at least a level of healing factor you're bad, and if you aren't maxing incineration you're really, really bad.

And about incinaration, I would never leave it out of my build because I think about pve too when making a character. However, if we're talking about pvp and only pvp, I don't think that incinaration is that useful.

Your best bet is parking all of your characters outside the main door, or even inside from a previously opened one, and using one character to light the torches. I was able to switch between four characters and claim the chest four times a day this way.

Kim loves melee, though. Just not your particular flavor of it. To garner Kim's affections you should ride on a pet, carry a spear, and anyone you don't oneshot from the other side of the map will not be able to cast any spells while you stand on them and spin your stupid spear even if they're stun immune because it's a step stagger too for no reason. Instead any spell they try to cast will have an 80% chance to fizzle and go on cooldown.

Anything that can put down targets to get in the way of the pet.

Pet AI and targeting has always been trash, the most recent change made it even fucking worse. Hunters have almost no control over what their pet attacks anymore and the more targets it has to attack, the less likely it is to go for you.
Drop something like caltrops and the pet is never going to target you, anytime they tell it to use an ability, it'll fly at those caltrops and do nothing.

What control mode they're using seems to effect it. I know mouse and controller mode basically make hunter useless, and keyboard mode gives them minimal control.

The pet is suppose to target whatever the hunter is targeting, but it seems to put priority on targeting whatever is targeting the hunter, and the closer it is to the hunter, the higher priority it has.
If you're far enough away and something is closer the pet can attack, even if you are attacking the hunter, the pet will always hit whatever is closest.

Honestly, it seems random as fuck. But putting down more targets for the pet to attack really fucks the pet up hard.

Clerics have more than enough tools in their skill set to support without needing to get full support.
Saftey zone, statues, healtiles is all you need really.
Not to mention most of the end game stuff like ET revolves around DPS checks with every floor being on a time limit.
Even the 315 dungeon has a DPS check boss.
You'll be much more useful in parties if you can do some damage and support which is why PD2, Druid 3 and soon to be Miko are very popular and more META than priest 3.
As for CON, 30k hp is enough to make you fairly tanky in PvE content, and you can reach that with very little CON now thanks to new hat enchants and gems.
SPR isn't needed for diev3 even if you have priest 1 in your build.

Sapper c1 for detonate traps.
Scout is self explanatory.
I took rogue because I thought capture would make the build more interesting, yes you already have detonate, but the skills don't do the same thing obviously. While you can break a raise with detonates, capture allows you to pick that raise to use later, it's a wild card that makes the build more versatile imo.
The last rank was kind of though, I didn't want to take fletcher c3 because prophecy/bloodletting fucks with broadhead, I thought about picking mergen, but in the end thought that musk would be more useful at pvp.

This is extremely similar to what I was working on myself, actually. The primary difference being swapping diev3 for either 2 more ranks of priest or 1 more rank of priest and sadhu for knockdown and mobility.

I play a diev3 right now, but if Miko's super-disenchant ends up the way I think it will, ausrine is about to plummet in effectiveness. Spending more than a third of your circles on a bit of area control and a buff that can be wiped by anybody who one-dripped miko is a concerning forecast.

QS1 I agree with. Sapper and scout are obvious, and I also agree. The utility of rogue really can't be overstated, but it's an entire circle based on performing a role you've already got covered a little differently. Capture is a one-per-round spell in most cases, and due to the twin scaling benefits of Swift Step I'd argue Archer is the better choice between those two. After that I see the corner the build brought you into - I think leaving Fletcher at C1 (this gives broadhead, albeit weaker) and taking musket2 is a better solution, but both have its merits. Yep, that's a valid one for 2v2. Fits all the specifications if pouncing interacts with hunter pets the way I think it does, but I haven't tested. I'm not going to roll this, but I'd love to see it in action, I think it has more potential than any other on-foot swordsman build given fencer's block problems. While this is absolutely true at lower ranks, at higher ranks most teams have at least one, if not more players with excess of 2.5k MDEF. Skills like that have a very difficult time outdamaging a mid-CC potion against those people, this issue extends even to things like PD's incineration unfortunately. Of course, you'll never find a build that can beat everybody, and I really think that one is a great choice if you want to be more on the supportive side of things.

I don't know what server you play, but at mine is pretty rare to find people with this much mdef in TBL. Still, i see your point.

Besides being obviously a very good skill in general, I think haste works really well with Kino because it allows you to have the upper hand against the other team and plays well with the CC capabilities of the class, especially against ausrine fags. You can grab the entire team and then make them fly with raise while they are still circling ausrine if you use haste and start fast enough. Adds that to the fact that you can reset the entire cd of magnetic force and almost the entire cd of raise with pass.

I also think that this is the most future proof build for mages in the game, at least in terms of pvp. Simply because any class you pick at rank 9 will be extremely benefited by both haste, pass and the crowd control skills from Kino.

I play Klaipeda, fell out of the top 10 tonight, and the mdef problem is the primary cause for me looking into other classes. I rely on Incineration to close out a kill, but it's becoming more and more common to see the incineration ticks only doing triple digit damage, and this is at a very high attribute.

The synergy with MF/Raise and pass is certainly nice. I'm really surprised I haven't run into anyone running a kino/chrono build.

Yep. It's funny because testing builds is one of the few fun things that this game has to offer, but IMC makes it unfun by putting grind walls, silver sinks, time sinks and hundreds of boring quests in the way of it.

I think the team lvl should affect the exp you need to lvl up and not just the exp you gain while hunting monsters. Like, team lvl 30 should make you need 30% less to gain each lvl, that would make making new characters so much less painful. The money you spent in attributes with a character should also be accounted to your other characters in some way and transcended weapons should be tradable to your account.
