No, you're not the only one lad. On top of the lack of depth and the retarded AI, they're coded horribly - they're basically the type of game you'd expect released about 4 years before it actually got released by Paradox. They're unironically STILL single-core and cannot utilize several cores (one for graphics and another for the entire game). The graphics are absolutely horrible and the content of their DLCs and on-release games is barely fun for more than a couple of days. The modders are mostly with tied hands and are limited to shitty 2005-tier notepad editing of values.

They're truly lucky for milking this genre that no one wants to attempt to satisfy. I can't wait for a competitor to come and start copy-pasting their games so Paradox gets their shit together and stops abusing their monopoly by stuffing their products with literal shit because people buy them anyway.

The music is the best in the entire genre tho, probably because its an independent composer and not Paradox.

Alright lads, 1066 start as the Tabaristan count under Seljuk horsefuckers. I've managed to completely cripple the Turks after they failed to conquer Anatolia from the Byzantines and usurp Persia for our based culture under the Bavandid (cadet dynasty to the Sassanids) dynasty.

I've downloaded CK2 with all dlc (not from the OP, that one kept crashing for me) but the launcher does not display any of the dlc, and when I run the game none of the dlc is activated. I did check my dlc folder in the game folder though and everything appears to look fine.
