I was thinking of making a mod for CK2, but I have some questions.

In my free time I've been doing loads of research on a historical time period not covered in the game (and not covered by any major mods). I've got lots of information of historical figures, religions, national borders, new counties, etc. But I have absolutely no experience with modding. I know I should just learn how to do all the modding / compiling / programming stuff myself, but this project would require some pretty complex stuff for a beginner (like completely new borders and probably an original map).

Downloaded everything, I'm running the mini-mod included with HIP that cordons off parts of India and Africa. I've never seen the event pictured: it's impossible to close out of and the only thing I can do about it is quicksave, resign, then reload the save. Then I get the event after a couple years or so.

Anyone have any kind of experience with this / knows how to address this problem? I'd appreciate it alot.
