There is only one reason to melt everything, for people that only play one sort of craft. Majority keep their collection. Like the other day when I wanted to try Garuda Haven, only had to make one Garuda and done, all those Themis and Moon that I never touched, became useful. Biggest flaw and the reason it doesn't see play in most aggro bat decks. It may as well have (2) as it's cost and you don't want to be doing nothing but dropping a 1/1 bat on turn 2 (assuming your opponent put a minion down on their turn). Also it's a dead card against Spellboost Rune. It's a shit card because it doesn't fit into the GOTTA GO FAST bat deck.

Well, it's done. Are guys happy now? I even managed to finish with my elder spartoi for maximum meme.

Yeah I love fighting for the board the entire match just for Elf to send beetles to OTK you, for Sword to endlessly cycle into more storm followers including one with bane, for blood to just spam burn spells that cannot be stopped, and for Haven to get rewarded with Gruda 3 damage burst even without wards.

Three Garudas is already 9 damage. Add in Dance of Death, and the storm followers and you'll die solely off of instant damage easily.

I also love how fighting for the board early means nothing. The board gets reset on turn four no matter what you do so the side that sent a bunch of damage to your face early on has a huge upperhand there.

There's literally no reason to play control in this game. Midrange is better in everyway.

Alright, how do I get into this game? Haven't played MTG in ages, but I could use a weeb card game distraction.

Reading the pastebin at the moment. Personally, I always prefer to play uncommon strategies that can be unusually strong, despite no one ever using them or perception generally being weak. Gimmicks like Poison, debuffs, etc. In MTG I was mostly a control player, but I'm looking to branch. Any deck suggestions with that in mind?

Uncommon but strong can be DS Runecraft with Conjuring Force or a new Wind Snow PtP Rune deck someone in Master rank got a good win streak with apparently. Elana/Seraph Haven hybrids seem to be catching on but they still seem more rare than regular Elana decks. Control Sword is uncommon too but that's probably more because of the high cost to make it than anything.

The idea seems to be that you can control the board and win with PtP or also win with Snowmen into Wind God for burst damage. I actually tried it out and struggled to win with it but the guy that posted it on twitter seems to have a good win rate with it so I can't say much. I'm probably too used to regular DS Rune.
