Sombra has super overpowered kit negated by the fact that her main weapon is fucking useless. You can breeze around the map and keep yourself alive with healthpacks - but none of this matters when your gun cant shot past 10m, and below it your damage just consumed by armor or outhealed - while you lack any burst, since essentially cant do reliable headshots.

Harrass is all she can. Its very easy to beat Sombra - just shot back at her, on any character. And her retreating to healthpack doesnt matter, since you have own healers around too.

Tracer is infinitely more devastating than Sombra, since she has RELIABLE damage.

Still sombra will be used in comp just because of her ult.

Reinhard and D.VA? lol no because armor. Winston? He shreds her. Roadhog? He just laugths at her damage, even Mercy is more dangerous to him.

As it stands now Sombra is only good at finishing off enemies on low hp, by hiding waiting for someone to drop - and then tracking them through walls ambush with stealth.

She is not even good for picking supports, since Mercy can kill her 1on1, Zen headshot her into oblivion and Lucio just outrun and outheal. Lets not even start about Ana, since Ana - unlike Sombra, is actually OP.

I couldn't care two shits about a new hero coming out, is this normal?

First this happened when Ana came out and now it's the same with Sombra. And it isn't really even about "being pissed about dat arg". None of it even registers. I play Overwatch mostly on burst of two weeks every now and then, and i don't seem to even factor new heroes into it.

It just seems that a new hero coming out would understandably cause you to be interested about the game, but it doesn't. I've actually slowly become more interested in playing Heroes Of The Storm again. Slowly the content on that side is stacking up, or maybe it's just nostalgia.

I think Sombra is very strong. However I really don't recommend trying to hack from behind. Or trying to hack much more than healthpacks at all. Sombra is better dealing damage in the middle of her team, using her mobility to both be everywhere at once and be impossible to focus and pin down.

I think the one nerf she might get is some better indication for when you're getting hacked, because I rarely even see anyone react in any meaningful way before the hack finishes.

Well I don't want to comment on anyone else on the team but I can speak for myself.

Coming into the world cup I was definitely prepared to practice a lot and grind it out that I ended up finding probably 3/4ths of the scrims we had and, although sometimes people weren't feeling the scrims at times, we were able to practice about 3-5 hours every day during opening week. After the brackets were announced we were definitely in a tough spot having to play KR right away but what really made me lose motivation personally was finding out we would have to play them on the same 3 maps they've been practicing the entire week. This, coupled with some other nonsensical decision making in the tournament format, kind of killed what little fair competition feeling the tournament had to begin with and started to really just feel like a showmatch. During Blizzcon I still played solo queue and warmed up before our match which, as ster mentioned, was more than some, but I was no longer motivated to the point of hunting down all my teammates off somewhere else enjoying themselves to get them to scrim.

I know there's a lot of national pride to this and I definitely would've liked to have performed better, but you have to realize this was not a group of allstar teams or even something I can call a real tournament. Teams were formed by a popularity contest, put in randomized groups and given a 3 map pool (of questionable maps), then you get randomized single elim brackets where someone had the idea that as 2nd seed you have to play your match on the same 3 maps the 1st seed teams been practicing the entire week. You have to realize that by the end of all this mess people can lose motivation.
