I thought Paladins was a garbage mobile clone of Overwatch until I played it the other day. This shit is fun. Customizing your champion with those cards is an amazing idea. I made White Sombra into an invisible flank master.

But I just learned about this bots until level 5 thing - that is the dumbest bullshit I've ever heard of. I wondered why the difficulty went up as I played, and that's why. What a dumbfuck idea.

Skye needs a full-on rework.

The issue with characters like Skye (and her predecessor, Loki) is that they're very binary: either you notice them and they're useless, or you don't and they melt you in 1.5 seconds. In low-level games, stealth is too strong, and in high-level games, it's too predictable. If she stays as is, all she'll ever be is a pubstomper.

To keep her stealth, she needs to move away from the "kills you instantly" niche. I propose that she instead moves into utility.

It also makes the KinessaxSkye matchup far more bearable. Kinessa will get harassed and be perpetually preoccupied with Skye, but she has a decent chance of 1v1ing her, if she has any idea where she is. And even if she buys Illuminate, Skye's new mobility and high range still lets her be somewhat of an annoyance.

Now we add level 1 haven and your damage is 1242. With more levels in haven it's gonna get even worse.

If they really wanted to program the damage falling from the sky and impacting on the first ceiling it hits, whether it's a map ceiling or Makoa's shield or whatever, that could potentially reduce its use cases. There are very few cases in which it would even be remotely useful. Even fewer in which it would be more useful than literally any other offensive item.

5% damage is gonna maybe let you kill someone in one or two less shots as soldier, thief, or mech goblin. It will have literally no effect on hits needed to kill an enemy on archer, bomberman, shotgun dude, witch, lizard, or sniper. It may have an effect on ttk as edgemaster if you're bad at right-clicking. Most of these would benefit more from faster reloading for total DPS, if there were no healing or shielding in the game.
On fast shooting dudes, cauterize can basically negate all healing forever. Wrecker can make shields disappear in less time than it takes to get them up. Bulldozer can make dancer and shaman unable to heal, severely reduce dwarf's dps potential and even, with some skill and luck, negate bomberman damage.

I agree with buffing grohks totem HP but the CD is fine. Wouldn't mind him getting some damage reduction while hes using his ult since its fairly easy for someone to kill him.

Andro's reversal needs to be completely replaced with a new ability. Its a terrible move with no consistency & it doesnt fit with the rest of his kit. Also wouldn't make sense for his ult to have damage fall off, its supposed to be strong and he typically uses it in air since he'd die otherwise.

Buff pips heal potion. Make it so that it heals more for each person it hits. Im thinking an additional 150 HP per person. This would encourage him to use it on other players instead of just being selfish.

Make Makoa's shell shield push enemies outward when its initial expansion happens. Buff the damage on his spin. Give him more damage reduction when being shot from behind.

Haven doesn't counter blast damage, there are also situations were taking Resilience is a good idea. On a balanced team, aggression can make a difference, as you can't cover direct/blast damage with one card.

The real problem is blindly buying aggression like most retards do. Cauterise and Wrecker can be extremely important (they should be nerfed desu, rip Veteran), so most of the times you should opt for one of those two. However, aggression could make a difference if you aren't getting your damage reduced and if tanks and healers are being dealt with effectively

Two most important things: don't die and don't let your illusions get destroyed often.
Your illusions do the healing (don't underestimate their range), place them apart and around corners so they can see allies, but can't be easily targeted by enemies. Keep both up as much as you possibly can.
Keep using your primary fire to help out in any fights, don't go chasing kills on your own unless necessary.
NEVER use shatter at the start. You should only start shatterblitzing if either your teammates are doing fuck all damage, or enemies get Cauterize 3 online (sometimes caut 2 depending on how threatening they are).
Dimensional Link is good as an escape tool (especially if your illusions are spread out), getting more illusions up quickly and shatterblitzing if you have the Rewind card.
Protip: your ultimate is global range and you can Link to your ult crystals, so if you die near the end of a push, you can ult in spawn, then DL right back into the fight.

Makoa has a terrible kit, from my experience.
Shell Spin is a terrible initiation skill (damage+minimal knockback), Shield is more easily countered than Nando's (counting as being out of combat is no longer an advantage due to nerfed Veteran), and ult is more often used to recover health than pursuing enemies.

It's literally all based on what your rival's team looks like.
They have lots of shields? Get Wrecker.
Lots of heals? Get Cauterize.
Lots of direct/hitscan weapon damage? Get Haven.
Lots of AoE damage? Get Blast Shields.
