New Leaf's netcode is so fucking trash.

Remember how you could trap people on the online island by keeping your inventory open when they tried to leave?

Instead of fixing their netcode in the update, nintendo just added an "emergency exit" button to prevent island trolling.

Does anyone else like Amiibo Festival? I just got it for the amiibos and cards, but the game is actually pretty decent by itself. I could see it as a calmer Mario Party alternative on game nights.

Wild World sold best because the DS did amazingly well, and it was the first portable Animal Crossing. In comparison the Gamecube was rather unpopular. City Folk did so poorly because it was a mediocre port that barely added anything beyond some new shops and sub-par online capabilities. New Leaf added a metric fuck-ton of stuff to the series and was another portable.

Long story short, you don't know for a fact that Wii U Animal Crossing would be bad. Frankly, even if Nintendo ACTUALLY thought console Animal Crossing games only did poorly because they're on consoles, there will almost definitely be one on the Switch, since it's being advertised as a "portable console". This is probably why Game Freak is planning on a Switch pokemon game, despite the utter failure most console pokemon games seem to be.

Any time I try to summon Celeste or Digby through the amiibo, I'm told theyre too busy/sleeping and to try again later.

I've talked to Digby, but havent unlocked Celeste in game yet, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Paths aren't even remotely worth all the trouble it takes to make them. Not to mention villagers can ruin it by moving in, and it limits where you can put your PWPs, and it takes up a decent amount of your pattern space if you want a good one.

I really hope they add some proper path-making system in the next Animal Crossing so you don't have to spend hours placing paths one tile at a time.

Well I can confirm that using a save editor to re-seed grass works the same as it used to. That is, your perma-mud sticks around but the rest of your grass is refreshed to a state of day-zero.

OK anons, if any of you are taking advantage of the update that means villagers won't move onto QRs then you might be putting down qrs to make sure there aren't any 3x3 spaces where you don't want homes. I made this so it would blend in better. The colours are as close as I could get and it blends pretty well.

I haven't seen this answered in the OP or anywhere in this thread so please forgive me if the question has been asked to death already:

How does the placement of the RV's and the campsite work now if you're updating?

My town already has the campsite installed and there is very little surrounding space if the PWP gets any bigger. Likewise, if the RVs go somewhere else on the map, it's almost guaranteed to fuck up my town's layout. I'd really love to know how this works so I can start participating in the update and get back to playing again.
