Persona 4 Golden was my first Megaten and I remember beating it with an Angel you pick up from the beginning of the game without swapping once. I thought the game was also impossible on hard if you played fresh but a joke if you do NG+

Then he notes (in a lamenting sort of tone) how recently a lot of people seem to recognize his face, says he'd like to talk at ease but that he'll have to cut the conversation short for the day, then asks you to call out to him again if you see him again.

It's a nice scene, if really easy to miss (and oddly long for an optional and easily missable scene).

Ryuji has a fucking admirable hatred for injustice tbqh, in the first dungeon he proves himself and then some. Yes, he's a bit loud and silly, but I reckon Mamoru's voice kept that from verging on annoying, and given the scenarios the cast face, he's perfectly justified to get angry almost all of the time.
Yeah, he got pissy at Morgana, but in the actual context of the scene, he is kinda justified since Morgana does start it and carries it on. Plus, he does show actual regret later on, and Morgana and him have a strong enough friendship that they can both let it go. He's a highschooler, and highschoolers argue with their friends.
But hey, I pick favorites and least favorites in almost every game too, so I get where people want to come from.

Whenever someone figures out how the fuck to extract and convert them to a viewable format. They're stored differently from battle cut-ins/bustups/etc since they're loaded using models instead of just pulling up an image.

I'm not even sure if anyone's looking into ripping them at the moment. Haven't seen anyone mention doing so, at least.

Not defending, that's just how it seemed to me. The only characters with multiple poses are Goro and Shidou, and in both cases it seems like it's just to highlight the contrast between their real personality vs the act they put up.

It's stupid as fuck, but it'd explain why they're sticking to the same portrait base even for the more animated characters (like Ryuji and Morgana, who still get a lot of cut-ins with different poses so it's probably not just laziness).

There's a LOT of them per character, and even two that seem to correspond to how Goro's black mask bustups are labeled, so it wouldn't be surprising at all if a few turned out to be unused.

I don't have the files on hand right now, but IIRC they're in data.cpk, in the cutin sub-folder. utarc should be the folder with the actual textures for each part (stored as .000 and .0001 files), while the necessary models should be in frame and string, and the .dat files in table list the filenames for each cutin part.

No text has been ripped, only most(?) images, all cutscenes and sound files.
And yeah, no one is ripping anything anymore because no one knows how and people who do don't care anymore. Some people figured out how to rip models but didn't share the knowledge.
We might get text rips when the game is released in English though.
