It was your fault for agreeing to. Split pushing doesn't work if the enemy team can not just end a 5v4 easily but do so quickly enough they can wipe them then come for you later. You either needed enough sheer map pressure to forcibly split the enemy 5 group up or your team needed to be beefy enough that even if they lost the fight it wouldn't be s total wipe and you'd still keep exerting pressure afterwards.
