Want to play Dark Souls again, what build is fun to do? Played 300-400 hours of dank 2 & 3 but not played as much of 1. You're using the spear wrong. You gotta use it both defensively and reactively. Keep your opponent at a distance- and throw out a steady rate of a few delayed R2's, a couple double R1's ect. Walk into their attack range, walk out. Bait an attack and see if you can bait a second one, then space it out and poke.

If you do the ranged and reactionary pokes well enough you'll end up getting people to roll into you- which is why you keep either a GS or a SS in your offhand.

I have 40 poise, had around 650/940HP left (level85 invasions), wearing winged knight armor, and was in the attack phase of a 2handed Power attack with the Astora Greatsword and just got Annihilated by a person with those DLC claws in a combo i couldnt escape from. They also interrupted my attack.... where the hyper armor at.... and they took no damage from my sword passing right through them.

all the dlc weapons feel so broken in pvp. i wish had a Satellite connection so i could lag my dick off and be a pro with the phantom range.

I try to use the javelin 2H most of the time (gives like 20 or 30 extra AR), and actually with this set up it works surprisingly most of the time with a 35 STR build. I don't pull out the millwood battle axe unless shit gets real with the ganks, I almost never use it I just like to have it "just in case".

People tell me the hawk ring affects the javelin throw and I still don't believe it, but holy fuck with 30 firebombs and the millwood greatbow and obscuring ring it's so fun to troll people.

Yeah, except trying to stay under 30% for fast rolling is really restrictive, and since I had to skimp on END for STR I can't really roll spam. I'd rather have African KANGZ fashion with a decent amount of absorption and not have to menuswap to use the greatbow.
