Most of the other testimonies in the same game are shorter than this - Oldbag's are generally 3-6 lines long, Larry gives a 3 line testimony in 1-4 etc. etc. I believe the average length of a testimony lies somewhere around 4 and 6 lines of testimony in AA.

Sahwit's first testimony is an exception to the rule. His two other testimonies are 5 and 4 lines respectively.

That's true. And it's one of the main problems with the current trial system that I have. People spend too long on cross-examinations, and people are afraid to make more than one testimony - meaning we're kind of halfway there in terms of emulating an AA case. For example, most witnesses in AA have two testimonies, I believe. One general, and one specific that explains their contradiction. This doesn't work in AO because the defense sometimes gets another unintended contradiction that the witness didn't plan for, or they highlight multiple problems in the testimony. This means that the witness either has to do a live testimony, or plan multiple testimonies to accommodate for what the defense may pull out.

Either way, the former isn't desirable, and the latter creates too much work for a role that's slowly dying out because people don't want to witness anymore.

Quick idea. Since, and I don't mean to start a shitstorm but this appears to be the case, Rise was only successfully polled because her proponents were more persistent than her opponents - that is not representative of the players' will and undemocratic.

Therefore, to prevent something like this happening in the future, perhaps we should raise the majority requirement after a failed poll. Say, after normal calculations, you need 2% more of a majority "Yes" for every failed poll in order to ensure an actual change of opinion rather than voter apathy just winning the battle.
