How to make grenadier weapons somewhat viable:
1. Reduce cold wars reload time, give it a EPG crosshair
2. Remove the delay before you are able to melee after firing.
3. Make softballs grenades detonate on direct hit.
4. Increase EPGs projectile speed by about 15%
5. Increase quick regen delay to 3 seconds.

So, I just picked up this game. Should I completely playthrough the campaign before jumping online? I only played a minute amount of the first one.

After poking around a bit with Northstar I have come to the conclusion that nuclear core is the only option for her.

So many Titans will rush into your face with the intent of outdpsing you, and frankly you can't run forever. So instead of trying to use your tether trap to buy distance, you use it to pin them in place right next to your nuclear bomb.

You'll both be out of titans, but you'll be anywhere from 30-50% closer to your next one while they start at 0%. Combine this with the spare battery boost to quickly boost up an ally for even more meter, and you'll be in a fresh titan in seconds.

The spawns in this game need to be fixed, just fucking put me as far away from every enemy as possible, every life I have should be at least 5 seconds long, dying less than a second after I spawn and boost into battle by the same group in the same area from the same direction is ridiculous.

I can get this for 40€, so I wouldn't even have to spend 60 bucks on it. For me the game has proper value, if you can spend the amount of cash spent 1:1 or 2:1 to the amount of hours your can spend playing the game.

Another question: how is the netcode in this game? Is the tickrate ≥ 60?

My FPS dropped to 30 on gtx 1060 even with all settings scaled back to medium. Did the latest patch fuck something up? Can I throw some switch and unfuck it?

The single player is fantastic, but is only 4 hours long, maybe 5.
MP is very good, but the maps are so meh that it's sad

Pilot abilities are very mediocre, not very interesting but at least this means everyone is on the same playing field most of the time

Use A-wall. Not only does it give you some cover, it makes the weapon one shot kill with upper body hits.

I love pilots in this game but hate mech gameplay.

Being a pilot is fun as fuck, but being a titan boils down to farm npcs till someone tries to stop you, wall them off and poke till they die, and repeat or you'll just eventually die as the mech no matter what you do cause limited health bar. It forces you to play like a bitch cause you dont want to miss out on points you could get as the mech.

Can I just get really fucking good at being a pilot, and use my mech just for sacrifice kills on other titans?

Why do you people keep saying it's hard to steal a battery?

Jump on the backmost or most isolated enemy titan, take cloak/phase shift and arc grenades and make sure MOST OF ALL that you run the Low Profile perk, which delays the rodeo message until you've pretty much removed the battery. On dismount, chuck an arc grenade at the titan and run away if you're already cloaked or finally phase shift out.

It's not going to work against some pro level squad, but nobody is good at this game so you don't have to worry about that.

Not really. There's always going to be a few weapons that outclass all others, since there are only so many stats you can tweak that end up creating an actually useful gun. They've clearly focused on just putting in a bunch of weapons that fit various playstyles, even weird ones like for those two players who actually enjoy using the Cold War.

Regardless, you can still be very effective with meme weapons if you're good and you don't have to use the best choices just because they're the best. Have fun with the game sometimes.

I'm playing around with all the Titans and originally didn't know what to make of my man Scorch. He works well when engaging in crowd/map control and when paired with someone else. I keep dying over and over when 1v1 due to them being able to outflank me.

Then I added the boost perk, giving me one dash where previously I had none. I reevaluate my setup and decide to take a beefed up flame shield. Now I am the firelord of Titanfall. Able to abuse players and titans up close by melting their faces off as well as playing off the environment by using my various ground pounds and thermite launchers.

Also to all grapple users in this thread. You're straight up OG's. The grapple may not have the usability of the STIM, but that one feeling where you successful use your grapple to escape enemy fire or engage a Titan succssfully is one of the best feelings in the game.
