There have been two patches ever that affected warlocks. The first 11% across the board damage buff one, and then 7.1 which nerfed survivability, nerfed demo pet health, and tried but completely failed to buff affliction

Warlock is "fine" if you play either demo or destro and happen to get their BiS legendaries, but you need to find a raid group that is willing to carry you to that point. Also while demo's dps is fine it sucks to play and needs a redesign.
