Reminder to make and upload blockstrings so your fellow anons can practice better!
Make your replay slots, 4 routes, one for each slot. To save your replay data, go to the Training tab (6th tab) and select the second to last option. Select a slot to save. It will open a Menu, first option is title, second is Yes, third is No. Make a name then hit the second.
save with a filename that says the character (use RG for Ragna for example), and blockstring starter. Use KND if it's a oki on wakeup thing where you have to get hit by the first attack then try to block/escape. Make sure to set it to random before you save!
Then go to Forum, that's the second to last option on the Network Menu. Open it, hit square, you should be brought to a menu. Go to the third option and pick the fourth on the list (Asia). That's the filter we'll look for when looking for uploads.
Press the second to last option in menu after to apply filter.
Hit R2 to go to the training tab. Press Triangle to create, select the second option in that menu. Title is first field (include /blaz/ in it so we can find it, though Asia's pretty dead so it should be easy), comments in second (list things like won't work if barrier/what gaps there are in certain slots and stuff if you want), last field is the data, select that and upload your recording. Press triangle again and select the top option to submit.

For anons who want to download the data, open Forum and filter for Asia like before. Hit R2 to view the training tab. Hit X to open the data and x to save.

There is a limit of one upload per user, so all blockstrings are welcome even if others play your character better!

When it comes to Ragna, Celica is the most forward about he feelings, when it comes to Noel/Saya, she just wants to be by Ragna's side, always. j2D and j3D are good for controlling space, if you do j2D at max height or superjump you can airdash or jump again or falling jC

5D can work like a projectile but you have to space it well and can't throw it out willy dilly because it's really easy to whiff punish, you can also try and incorporate 6D > mixup (2BB low) if you can condition them with 5D

3D can help against zoners but the teleport feels a bit wonky at times

6D is a neat pressure option but can get mashed out easily, if they don't though it lets you stay on them and move through your xBB option that you haven't used so you can do something like 2BB 5C 6D 4BB xx or dumb stuff like 6D 214AB

Bursting makes you unable to go into active flow
In my opinion, bursting around round start is bad

Ideally, someone would OD and do a combo that does a decent amount more than their bnb, and get AF in the middle/end of OD
Then either:
1. Get their burst back in the same round (burst a high damage starter or OD again)
2. Get their burst back very early into the next round since OD + AF cooldown is over half the time going to be shorter than defensive bursting, plus the (potential) damage from AF. This is assuming the match is at least a bit back and forth

It's not really like Persona at all. For one, almost every character in this game has giant fucking normals that can hit you from halfway across the screen, and most normals are air unblockable. Also there are only two characters with a double jump and one with another form of aerial movement (besides Assault). Jumping is very risky.

It really is that middle ground between an airdasher and something like Street Fighter. You have to play at your character's strengths, because otherwise you will literally lose momentum in the match. It's a scary game to play. You'll see people just block from like fullscreen just because they don't want to get hit. To open someone up, you have to get in there and mix them up or punish them for trying to mash out. Teching throws is very important, because if you try to throw someone and they tech it, you're not just forced to play neutral again, you're immediately at a frame disadvantage. You lose your turn because they teched your grab. Because of that, throwing people is a double-edged sword, and I don't think most characters can combo off of their grabs without spending Chain Shift to do it. And even then, very few can combo from it.

As far as the meta goes, the best characters in the current version are some mixture of Vatista, Carmine, Merkava and Gordeau. They all have very strong buttons and pressure that makes you think twice about what you're going to try against them. Gordeau gets nerfed in the next version while Akatsuki and Seth become strong, but we don't have ST so don't worry about it. Just remember that they've had ST in Japan for over a year if you try to look up match footage for UNiEL.

That's probably because the relationship of Mai and Taro was never the focus of Remix Heart. In the end of the day it was a manga about friendship rather than romance, so Mai's relationship with the rest of Team Remix Heart was what was emphasized. Mai falling in love with Taro was probably mainly there to make Mai realize that her mind had also turned into that of a woman and thus set the stage for Mai accepting herself as a girl.

Kind of yes. For example, neutral wise, your only real pokes are 2B and 5D. 5D pushes your hitbox to half its hurtbox and is shorter than the sprite makes the attack look to boot, so this move loses to many pokes with earlier/longer active frames. It's also easily punished by jumpers since it has a narrow hitbox.
2B is a standard 2B which will lose to very very many pokes due to having less range than real ones like Ragna or Jin's stuff.
Now there's also the matter of defense. Besides not having a meterless DP to make things easier while you're learning the game (can rapid for 50 meter to make safe as opposed to Terumi needing 100 meter to use his reversal DD), Terumi's Counter Assault (6A+B while blocking thing) has a really, really bad hitbox. It'll discourage you from learning how and when to use that thing. It can hit stuff if you're careful but you're not going to be very careful just starting out, you'll hardly be familiar with it is the problem.
Since his pokes are bad as mentioned, he has a tough time getting out of pressure because almost everything he throws out will lose or be outranged. You can call that hard mode and a crash course to learning how to block, but that's not how it works when you'll get bodied in 3 combos.
Also, his pressure, while easy, is very predictable and starting out you won't know how much you have to vary it to actually beat somebody with a brain. You can probably get away with a few tsuishouga robberies but that's it, especially if the opponent can DP (beats your 6B on reaction, beats j.2D resets, stagger pressure).
tl;dr train the basics before joining the military or you'll regret it

If you start out with Terumi you're not gonna learn neutral worth shit since you'll get CH all the time even when you call out a poke correctly. I played a lot of Terumis since his release all the way up till CF and the names I recognize with tons of tons of games hardly get better. Check their d-code? 90% Terumi. Nobody's arguing that not playing the character will make you better at playing the character.
