I was wondering is it worth it for me to take a huge detour of time and farm goldbeard's axe to help or should I just tough it out and fight fire with fire (or slime with slime I guess)? I don't really get this, i feel like the difference between weapons are so small that, unless you're speedrunning, there's no reason to only use one.

Also there's more to the endgame than just guild quests, making armor sets and testing new weapons were a lot more fun, something that is much more difficult to do in gen because most sets are trash and the upgrade system is terrible.
