The more I play this game, the more I hate the evolve system. It inherently favors tokens and especially storm units. At the very least storm units should not be able to be evolved. Units that have an evolve effect should gain no stats to makeup for the huge powerswing they get.

I feel like the only point of the evolve mechanic was to lure Hearthstone players in to make them think it solves anything, but it adds way more problems than it does solutions. Having it be an uneven resource just makes it worse too.

Or maybe I just really fucking hate Sword, Dragon, and Haven. I'm not sure. It's extremely frustrating how a player can go face the entire game and anytime you try to recapture the board they can just throw out a follower, evolve it, clear, and then keep going face. It forces the game to have things like Cudgel to try to compensate, but that just makes it worse especially for the classes that don't have actually good four drop evolves.

What are Control Sword and Aggro Necro favored against respectively ? Do they do well against any current meta decks ?

Aggro killed T2 for me. T2 is always the same. You win the first two games and those are usually against people running other classes. After that you get paired up with people who have been winning which are always Shadow, Sword, and Dragon if they made a bunch of bullshit like Mushushu or Olivia. It's still a fun class to play with, but just don't expect streaks in a meta where its worst matchup is all over the place.

That said, if you're asking these questions you probably aren't there yet. Shadow isn't just viable but if you're competent it's an extremely good choice for climbing all the way through B because you have a massive advantage against all the budget aggro decks running wild.

That happens. It sucks because Forestcraft can be super fun if you draft a good balance of generators and combo cards. I've had some awesome 4-1 runs where stuff like Forest Archelon, Cynththia, Tia, and Archer go off. And I've had some 1-4 runs that I just sat there with useless cards that were just bad without their combo effects.
