I won a single placement match because it was handed to me. I got placed in high silver, and every comp game I've played since then has somehow been even more retarded. If I manage to fight an actual 6v6 (which has happened probably 1/5 of the games I've played) then my attack team is half hanzos.

Why would I even try? I'll just place higher next season. It's not like I could ever have worse luck.

Mid-Master's is pure cancer. I've been floating around anywhere from 3600-3900 for weeks. Impossible to go on win streaks because the matchmaking is so fucked at this level that I frequently play against top 10 stacks with an average ranking several hundred above my team. Or, even worse, top tier GM players get a diamond on their team to drag their rating so far down that their team is the underdog despite having professional players on their team, then my all masters team loses over 30 points.

Also since it is nearing the end of the season people are bombing their rating so they can start low for S3. I've had Torbs, Widows, and Bastions on my team in probably around 60% of my games this week. I miss diamond, people were bad but at least most of them tried. I don't think I'm a GM player but the quality of games here is very low, most games are stomp one way or the other due to very imbalanced matchmaking.

And that's cool and all but I think maybe there's a general missing of the point of the ARG here, and the longer people go with their expectations in the wrong places, the more angst there's gonna be. What the ARG Really Is

It's a game.
Ok, now that we've gotten that out of the way, what it isn't:
Finding the secret decryption key does not unlock Sombra in your copy of the game. Did you think it would?
Unscrambling a photo does not result in Sombra saying "oh you found me, guess I'll become a character in your video game." Why would it?
Characters join this game, not because someone solved their ARG or leaked their character art, but because they exist in the Overwatch world and it's time for them to enter the story.
What the ARG Really Really Is: unofficial opinion
Some characters get in-game posters introducing them, others get weapon schematics and their correspondences posted on twitter. Some get character lore through web comics or through cinematic shorts. All of them thus far have already had a reason to "be there" due to their past involvements with Overwatch. All other characters are a "major someone" in this game world. But who is Sombra? What did she do in the Overwatch world prior to joining the fight? What was her story?

Before November 1, she was just a hacker with a small reputation in the OW universe. Now she's a name and a power. And we know that her next move will be on Volskya.
The final chapter is approaching.
Once Sombra is a force to be reckoned with in the Overwatch world--once she has made her mark--she'll join the fight.
