Yeah. I decided to record how many games were botches and how many were okay one night and I got ten (10) games in a row where someone either did not load in, or someone ragequit early on. As a guy who considers Gears of War to be the best franchise on Xbox, and played all 3 games with all DLC, and spent probably most of their childhood with Gears, to now not being able to run Gears let alone afford it.

Kind funny that you mention Halo 4 and 5, both Gears and Halo have kinda had a falling out in terms of development teams, but Halo suffered the worst because Bungie had such a tight knit squad, and they were the ones that made it work, now that they separated, both Bungie and 343 suffered extremely.

I haven't been able to play Gears 4, but I saw a youtube movie and It still looks like my good ole' gears, I never really was a lorefag, but Gears 4 really turned me into one.

The sense of community was real, and not having a mic was seen as a total bad thing back then. I remember hosts kicking people from their matches if someone joined without a mic. Now the entire online community has changed, people just join games and don't talk, or they have their own private parties. There's no banter, no rivalries that span for weeks when you meet someone who challenges you, it's just a random feed of new boring faceless people who you share the same game with. Thank fuck for gowg, and meeting some people who share the same feel.

I've been consistently saying that Xbox Live Parties was the worst thing to ever come to the Xbox community. Whether in Halo, Gears, or even smaller games like Shadowrun, EVERYONE had a mic because it came with the Xbox, and you had to communicate with everyone regardless if you wanted to or not. And of course a lot of shit happened, but I met so many damn cool people since 2006. Now, everything is dead and private. Even if I ask people in my party to go game chat, they don't bother.
